Of course, now that I have all of my syllabi schools won't offer me interviews that I could actually schedule at a time convenient to me. Or now that I have some interviews, they won't offer me any that I could string together on a trip.
I was looking today, and I can't believe how much it costs to check bags nowadays! I'm going to have to try and consolidate stuff with my gf for Seattle b/c I'm not paying $40 for 2 suitcases.
 
i used to be a yankees fan, hard core. still have love, but **** hasnt been the same since tino (roids)/ paul oneail (roids)/ bernie (he was legit) left

as jealous as i am of all you people with five-to-ten interviews, it does make me feel better to think of it this way. when all you crazy go-getters get acceptances in october and mass withdraw maybe i will get all those sexy december interviews. 👍

but i guess UIC started giving out interviews yesterday or today, so if anyone's gonna give me one in the next couple months hopefully they will :xf::xf: i need some in-state love

Crazy day tomorrow! Class from 9 to 3 with only 1 hr of break, followed by me calling my hotel in Seattle to arrange transportation from the airport and a day trip on Sunday. Then need to buy last minute things for the trip sometime, followed by my driving class from 5-7. Then, need to drive all the way across town to buy mice for my pet snake before packing and getting ready to leave Friday evening.
:scared: I better get an interview out of this.

yeeeeeaaaa. FL.

i lived in tamarac/coral springs for most my life. moved to jupiter/palm beach gardens during last 2 years of high school (still commuted to coral springs for school though. wasn't going to leave my friends). mom now lives in viera.

i hate FL. i refuse to go back. i try to not even visit. stupid state.

i also refuse to go back permanently. i go to visit all the time because my whole family is down there... but ew. i could never, ever live there again.

I hope my Marine/Environmental Micro class gets a lot better today. Last class was all on chemosynthesis (kind of) and the professor jumped topics the entire time. There was a point in my notes when I wrote "wtf chemistry?" I thought it would be my favorite class this semester.

not me, i just have one 😉

in other news, i'm still afraid for my lab project tomorrow. i won't be here, and the person who must take over is a bit slow. usually i finish thursday's part by about now, and they're between plate 1 and 2 right now, and just left for lunch. we have a meeting at 3 that i promised i'd be at (they moved it to today just for me), but now i doubt they'll be done by then - and i have to stay to make sure they know what they're doing. i've told them that thurs and fri are ALL about multitasking - when part A is incubating, you have to be staining part B....

i'm more nervous because friday is TWICE as long, and involves twice the multitasking. EEEEEEEEEPP!!

..but for today, they're eating...but do I stain the next plate without them? the whole point of today was to make them do it 100% by themself to make sure they know how...too much stress. maybe i'll go take an hour lunch. hahahaha

It went well. Definitely a relief to get that first interview out of the way, sort of like a monkey off your back.
 
Secondaries never ask for camass rank, do they? Cause I swear that somewhere I recently clicked "does not rank" only to find out today that my school does. But probably wasn't a school, right?
