So random question... What are people doing they days that they travel for an interview?

For instance, I know I'll be getting to a city early the day before my interview. Obviously I'm going to want to make sure I'm actually prepared for the actual interview. Outside of that though, do you guys plan on going out and seeing the city? Maybe just walking around a couple blocks near where you're staying or maybe grabbing food at a local restaurant?

I've just been wondering about this... (I'm not used to being in a new/different city alone with so much time that's not already allocated to something specific...)

I'm waiting for an invite that I can tack onto my Vandy trip, on the way there or back. Unfortunately, that limits the schools to the few within driveable range 🙂xf: Emory...)

Hey everyone - I just have a quick question and didn't want to make a post about it since it has probably been asked before...

If I was verified and completed NUMEROUS secondaries prior to the release of my second MCAT score, I don't need to call/email schools and update them about my score improvement right? Do they get a little message saying that there has been a change in my application automatically or something? Just wondering as some of my application statuses are 'incomplete' due to "Pending 7/31 scores".

I haven't seen anything that asks for class/school rank yet, but I've only looked at three secondaries and submitted one...

I don't think it would hurt to contact them. Just give them a call and find out, because with your score improvement you definitely want to make sure that they are evaluating you off your new scores and not your old scores.

i'm planning them all as vacations, but after the interviews. even if i can stay a couple hours longer, i am. if i know someone there, i'm def. staying longer...i'm staying in atlanta for 3 days, chicago for 2.
 
yahoo my letter are finally in! now time to wait for those dratted complete messages and finish this last secondary!
 
so i'm going home to my parents' house for the weekend. i'm thinking about turning my cell phone and computer off when i get there and leavin them off until i get back on monday night. do we think i can do it?

Unfortunately for me, most of mine required quick get in then get out. When I went to UVA, I got in the afternoon before and walked around the campus for a while, then had dinner with some M2s (this was prearranged, though). Then I chilled in my hotel for a while and got a good night's sleep. My flight was quite a while after the interview, though, and I just stayed at the hotel restaurant then read at the airport.
Unfortunately, the only vacation I can make out of my interviews so far is Vandy because I scheduled it during fall break. So I'm making a road trip and staying Thurs-Sun morning.

Extremely debatable.

Lincecum allowed 2 runs against a team that has 186 home runs on the season (third in the majors). Plus they were at home, in a stadium that gives up a lot of long balls.

Martinez allowed 1 run against an anemic Giants lineup that has 97 HRs (29th out of 30). When Randy Winn is batting 5th you know you don't have a lot of hitting prowess.
 
Um, Pedro actually said Lincecum reminds him of himself, only twice as better. There, end of story.
 
i was just rubbing it in, but pedro's performance was pretty unexpected, lincy's was better of course

pedro in his prime is probably one of the best pitching we will see in our lives though


the san fran vs philly series was a classic, 8 runs total in 3 games. maybe we'll see you guys in post-season (hopefully you get past the rockies and then it would be LA, PHL, STL, CO/SF 😱, that would be amazing)

I think I'm stuck in limbo land as far as the schools I have yet to hear from.
