Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Had to shell out more bucks coz I have to dry-clean my suit. I wore it only twice, too. But I sweated so much in it in Miami.
How many times a year do you guys usually dry-clean your suit?

Depends on what I'm doing. Wedding that involves drinking and dancing? Definitely dry clean. Funeral that lasts 2 hours? Maybe not.

i have not had to dry clean my suit yet. however, i def dry clean my shirts every interview and my pants every two interviews or so.

as far as the stress of class, cant u just take them pass fail at this point? idk, i never went to my classes so i cant see that being much of a problem. i do feel bad for ppl that are working in a strict environment though. i am sure people have been in really awkward situations

Oh. my. goodness.

Just got back from a tour of the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. That is the most absurd hospital I have ever laid eyes upon. i have pics and will try to get them up here somehow.

now my interview invite from there seems so much better :soexcited:

and go big blue. F notre dame.

and go USC while i'm at it.

so not to sound pretentious, but for those of you guys with interviews in the double digits or close to that, are you guys ever going to start turning down invites?

it's getting super expensive and potentially having permanent effects on my performance in class

should've taken a year off. i just get a bunch of vacations out of it 😀

and with a full-time job, i can afford it....barely.

but no, i wont turn down interviews until i get an acceptance. but from the looks of it, the schools I want more are interviewing me later, so it looks like i'll be going to most if not all.

With 2 interviews + a DO acceptance I feel comfortable joining this thread finally without jinxing myself.

Im glad I didn't apply anywhere in FL, becuase I'd have been a sweaty mess for the interview.

I hate Florida. I hate the weather so bad there.

dude Miami is not all it's cracked up to be. Personally, I didn't really like it.

A guy I graduated high school with is at Miami Med and he loves it but naw other then the beach I'd hate it. Unless it was the 80s again and it was like GTA Vice City. Then I'd be there.

damn, thats bad news. its the only reason i applied to UM. probably the only interview (if i had gotten it) that i would have taken a 2-3 night vacation for to check out. maybe OHSU too

I was wondering where a more random conversational thread existed. I guess this is it. I should've clicked sooner.

Welcome!

Usually not often, but it depends how much I use it.

How about sweating profusely in it because of walking in crazy heat.
I would in this situation.

I can't stand the heat. The only reason I ever go to Flordia is one of my best friends lives around Orlando.

Michigan has nice beaches. No horrible heat there usually either.

It's the humidity there. It's the worst part, I can't stand it. Seriously, that school would be my last choice school, just because of Miami.

thank you. as a fellow south floridian, i concur that it is wackness to the Nth degree.

i refuse to go back to that state.

And I want some diversity. It's so culturally and ethncially homogenous there.👎

No, I got a new phone. Better, too.

Nice! What did you get?

I dry clean mine after about every 5 to 7 wears, all depending on the event. For all the ass sweat you leaked on your pants in Miami, it might be worth dry cleaning your pants, but your jacket should be ok.

Also, you launder your shirt, not dry clean it. If you dry clean them they will get all nasty. The only time you should dry clean a shirt is if it's linen or made out of some material that can't be washed.

Yeah, man. I watch Dexter and Miami looks so nice, but then I hear them talk about how hot it is and I get flashbacks of all my Florida trips. Too hot for me.

LG phone. Yeah, I decided to launder my shirt, dry cleaning really destroys your clothes, the damn chemicals.

PS) Ass sweat?
Dude, you're so eloquent.

love that show!

That show rocks! I just saw on a billboard that it's starting up again Sept. 27th!!!! 😀

Good call. 😉

Dude, don't even try to pretend you weren't kickin' the ass sweat in Florida. You can try to sugar coat it all you want, but your crack was drippin'!

This will hurt OSU a lot and Big Ten in general. At least Michigan and Penn State are doing their parts for their conference.

Losing by 3 to the number 3 team in the country? I mean yeah it sucks that their streak against top 5's is extended and that it was at home, but at least this time they were the lower ranked team. It doesn't help, but they shouldn't take a HUGE drop in the rankings because of this; they were probably expected to lose.

yeah, that's true. But OSU never really beat a prime-time team from a conference other than Big 10 at a national stage. Florida, LSU, now USC again. Although this was a game that OSU really should have won. SC got away lucky, IMO.

I like the big ten, but they really can't compete with the speed of teams in other confrences.
