Why do MD schools wait so long to send out acceptances? DO schools have been accepting people for a bit. We still have a month.

So, I realized today that if I do get an acceptance on the 15th :xf: *knocks on wood* and they call, I'll be at Hopkins. I think that's weird and potentially awkward.

ah, i wonder if that applies to the people who are interviewing not as early as you guys did, like next week... that would be sweet if it does!

Pretty sure if you interview at most places before Oct 10th, you should hear from them around then, unless you're waitlisted (or post-interview hold). The only thing that would get tricky is if you interviewed between Oct 7th and the 15th.

I mean, most schools we've interviewed at already probably have made their decision about us by now. :scared:

I'll be at a school on the 15th also. That's what voicemail is for. Your school isn't going to reject you because you didn't answer.
 
eh..decided i'm not applying to duke
too many essays and...condensing 2 years of med school into 1 is not appealing
so i'm done! 😀

I feel the same way. The condensing 2 yrs into 1.5 yrs is a lot more appealing to me. Plus, the 2 -> 1 year thing is for a year of research, and that's not exactly my cup of tea.

Not sure, but if I had to guess, I wouldn't think so. I'm pretty sure it's Humanities and/or Social Sciences, but I'm sure you could get someone to check it off for you.

I actually had a little mistake with my degree audit that gave me that last English class via AP, and it shows up on my transcript. 😀
But if it went away, I would lobby for HNRS 2000. They'd be douches to say it wouldn't count if you were graduating, IMHO.
 
WAIT!!! If I change catalogs, I don't have to take any. They changed the requirements while I was in school so I'll just use this year's instead of the one from my freshman year. 😀

Just make sure that you've met all the other requirements for the new catalog. 👍

wait, is oct. 15th like some universal date for all schools to start sending out acceptances? if so, why do they coordinate with each other like that?

wooooo. good morning people. i've been at work since 5am after getting home at 1am. a 3.5 hour power nap. nice.

first interview was cool. nothing out of the ordinary, except a lot of questions about my fraternity involvement. but it was fine. they had a nice sales pitch throughout the day. i can say that IU exceeded my expectations.

on another note. i have 9 schools i need to hear from, and i know 7 have started sending out invites. come ooooonnnnn more good news.

They let you do that? At my school we're required to fulfill the requirements of the catalog from the year we entered, even if they do change it. :\

I'm off to classes and then straight out to DC. First interview. It hasn't hit me yet. I'm sure I'll get the jitters when I actually land.... :laugh:

Good luck Lunn. The first interview is the worst. But after that, it gets much better.

PS) Please tell GW to look at my file once more.😉

8 days until my first interview :scared:...but that means 8 days until my 5 year hs reunion :scared: :scared:...not sure which one stresses me out more 😛

GL Luun! GW is really easy to reach -- get off at Foggy Bottom and make a right -- it's right there 🙂

EDIT: Interesting Louisiana story I just heard on the local morning radio show: http://www.ksla.com/Global/story.asp?S=11130905 if you're going to fake being a cop, don't pull over the mayor...

6-8 weeks. however they started their interviews on like september fourth. so basically i interviewed on the 7th day of their season (at most). they do interview like 15 kids a day or so, but i would expect to hear aroun oct 15th.

i think schools kinda tell you 8 weeks now just so you dont call them or start worrying

gw looks like a good school. my friend interviewed their last year and said it was pretty relaxed

yea went very well, the student interviewer was so relaxed and laid back. I loved the school, the city is pretty nice too. You are right it's really hard to gauge how we did

i'm only batting .278 with interviews 🙁
 
Just done with Downstate interview. I love this place!!😍
