I spent a few minutes admiring the updated MDApps, and updated my profile. Er, and trying to avoid reading up on this research project that I am supposed to start working at next week, haha.

so from raleigh international to duke is $30.00 one way

for $30, i can go from philly to ny and back (22.50 rt on bus w/ wifi), and take all the appropriate subways in nyc and philly (7.50 total) for my downstate interview.

i take public transportation for granted here

They scheduled me for Oct 6th, but I think that is too soon and I would like to push it back into November or something like that. I'll figure it out on Tuesday, when I actually have time and am not in and out of airplanes all day.

So, who was the team that beat Washington to open the season? I can't remember...
Oh, ksmi, I saw you at the game - I was actually sitting in the same row as you in the section to right of the band/people.

Cool. The game this week was much better than last weeks'. I hate rain games. And the halftime show didn't suck either, so we didn't get yelled at afterwards. Woo.

Baylor was pretty sweet, I really liked how they emphasized the laid back atmosphere of the school. For the interviews, i think i did well on one and the other i couldn't really tell because the interviewer didn't seem to want to give any positive or negative indication.
 
wow im a fan of peyton because of the commercials but brees might actually be the best QB in the league (and maybe by far)

Or alternatively, they beat UT in the CWS and look like they could be in the BCS conversation this year, again with the Longhorns.

I happen to have an extra outlet for expressing my dislike for LSU because you go there, but I'm pretty much rooting against all of the other top 10 teams, and LSU especially because they recently beat UT at something else. If anyone on here went to, say, OU or USC, I'm sure I'd be ragging on them too.

It's called trash-talk. Fans of rival teams are legally required to engage in it. I'm sure you'll see me getting into it with Elmo and his Lakers in about a month 😀
