Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
nope its perfectly fine, i think thats what they are looking for

its also a bit in the delivery

you cant immediately be like "err, tell her to go to another physician"

Dr. Sara Bellum and Dr. Billy Ruben are the names of the SDN mascots!! I wonder how close Dr. Jerry Atric came to winning? Do we get to know the runner-ups?

K yea, I was thinking of referring them to another physician, but I don't wanna come off as being irresponsible

ya i would just make sure you think about what you'd say if they ask what happens if you're the only doctor in the area, the patient doesn't have a car to get somewhere else, etc. I got asked something about what happens if the only pharmacist in town refuses to prescribe plan B to patients-should they have to? etc

thats weird

actually it was somewhat recent

april 22nd, 2009. FDA ok'ed plan B to be sold OTC for anyone above 17

but i guess the question then would be what about 16 year olds

What did he do this time? At least refer to thread, please.

look at the "how much do you want to earn when you're 40 thread."

I swear, I think he has his entire life outlined right now in his PDA.

Will we have these kinds of guys in our class next year?

God. It's nice to have a plan and stuff, but really... that's excessive. You can't count on your life being the way you plan it. Life is a series of compromises. Winning means compromising the least. This isn't a pessimistic view by any means (I'm actually an eternal optimist), but a lot people don't realize it.

Yeah, life's going to throw curveballs at you. I think being too prepared can be a bad thing, sometimes you're going to have to improvise and compromise.

Eh, to each his own, some people really get a kick out of planning out their future. I get light-headed.

lol u guys are real sneaky arent u😉
gossiping about a fellow sdner in this thread😛

hahahaha....
i think plans are fine.
as long as u know how to fix them whenever there are incidents that might disrupt them!

i wouldnt mind people like them in class tho=)
perhaps because im a crazy planner too.

just that my plans never work! im still on yesterday's study schedule! (which was reviewed yesterday to incorporate the failures of the day before yesterday... )

Plan B is technically OTC, however you still have to retrieve it from the pharmacist (who keeps it behind the counter) and show your ID. If you are < 17 then you can get it, just have to have a Drs script.

And honestly, if you aren't able to prescribe Plan B due to your personal beliefs, you probably won't be hired by any chain pharmacies as handing it out is probably a multi day occurrence. Just sayin.

Good morning everyone! 'Tis a beautiful rainy Monday in these parts, the beginning of yet another week! Best of luck to those of you with interviews!

Now, off to part 2 of my Southern Politics midterm!

alright this week is official

my weekly prediction as usual

0 acceptances
0 interviews
2.5 rejections
1-3 waitlists/holds

lets boogie

Nah, I'll do them. Just don't feel like doing it right now. Call it procrastination.

I did one for GW then got lazy

we actually talked about pre-existing relationships at Duke

they said that approximately ~1 incoming relationship survive. pretty scary stuff.

I figured it was less than that. Maybe I should date a girl now so I have an excuse to break up with her later

... It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game.

That means he lost.

What's the excuse? "If we don't break up, we'll ruin the med school statistics on incoming relationships." Solid plan.
