Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i cant do the long term thing, im all about being one and done

im pretty sick at the march madness pool

i feel bad for the ppl that usually have their first interviews. they look so nervous and stuff.

there was this kid who had a choice at an optional student interview at my state school and he took so long debating whether he should take it or not. he was scared whether or not it would hurt his chances

Whatever.

You still never explained why half truth + half lie= lie
that debate could have gone on forever. i'm sad i missed it. though perhaps a half truth is also half lie, and vice versa, so really with both you get one full lie and one full truth. so half truth + half lie = trouble.

must have been an axident
lol

truth.
also, just tellllllllllllll us! is it ohio?

 Goverment workers🙄.
I work at a VA and I guarantee that the VA Medical Center in Waco was not closed. Government hospitals work the same way all hospitals do.....as in 24/7, 365.

Yeah, I feel bad too. Because I'm like very not nervous and being all talkative and what not, and I think they expected everyone to be a little nervous.

At this point after 4 interviews, I have zero nervousness. Zero. For any school. Not even for a "dream" school (lol if I ever get an interview at a so-called "dream" school, but I am not complaining).

Just hope I am not "too" relaxed. Don't want to appear to be uninterested. Need to have a little edge going into these things...

they do tend to get quieter on holidays, though. most non-essentials don't come in. research peeps probably slept. ambulatory surgery was probably pretty quiet. at least it was here.

i didnt know minnesota and wisconsin were next to each other. i thought minnesota was like next to colorado

Personally, I am not doing any freaking optional interviews, especially with a student.

Not against meeting students, having conversations, grabbin' a beer...just don't want to be officially "evaluated" by one.

Eh, I don't think I'd mind. I was pretty peeved at first when Wash U gave me two interviews instead of one. But it ended up that they second wasn't really an interview. The dude just made me ask him about the school, so that I'd know as much as I wanted so that I could "make an informed decision when picking schools."

Baylor medical school is in Houston.
And here I thought I was being all smart googling what city Baylor U was in.....and thats good, cause Houston >>> Waco, at least IMAO. But the point remains the same, VA Medical Centers/Hospitals do not close for federal holidays. 🙂

(even cooler is that the VA in Houston is one of only TWO magnet VA facilities! go Houston!)

no lie, some of the student interviews have been kinda weird. others have been cool

I've had 2 student interviewers. The one at Baylor was not as relaxed as I expected from a student, but she was still really nice. At Tulane, you have your student interview over lunch which makes it super relaxed and my interviewer was super cool and nice, and not too bad on the eyes either.

😱
i speak for the state of minnesota, which is greatly offended by this statement. MN and WI are bff's. go study a map.

:meanie:

Are you from Minneosta? All I know about that state is that it has Mayo and it has Adrian Peterson and Brett Favre.

Minnesota is much more than that. Garrison Keillor, F.Scott Fitzgerald, Prince, Bob Dylan, the highest percentage of people with a high school diploma, mosquitos, loons, hot, cold, hotdishes, highest percentage of voters, and the Wild. etc.

And Brett Favre.

Did you seriously just praise a location for its population of the most annoying insect in the world.

That reminds me of Lilo and Stitch-
"Earth is a protected wildlife preserve. Yeah, we've been using it to rebuild the mosquito population, which need I remind you is an endangered species."

Good thing about the upper-midwest is the cold kills mosquitos.

unfortunately, the summer doesn't have that cold.
and before, i was really just giving a broad variety of what MN has to offer. I, for one, am impervious to mosquito bites, so it doesn't really matter to me. And we have a bat house, which takes care of most of them.

Lucky. I'm not bothered by them that much, but I still get bites when I forget bug spray.

How can you be impervious to mosquito bites?

Dude, I attract mosquitoes! I can be in a room with 4 other people and I will be the only one with mosquito bites....

National Geographic is the only channel I watched (except for the occasonal sports game) when I had cable.
I wish I had NatGeo tv when I had cable. I too have done away with cable though. That's part of the reason this weekend was the first time I've watched football all season.

I think you're probably right, as it didn't make any sense. But they do have some yellow caution tape up keeping people from driving all the way up to it right now, so idk what's up

Morning homies.

We're still only a little more than half their size, but we are over 10 times the size their thread was at this time last year.

This is good news.

I will reveal myself in the "meat world" to selected SDNers.

And you are one of them!

One other I want to meet, but I will not reveal it here...

So to everyone else, yes, I am that creeper...

👍

you never know!!! what about other NYC or boston schools? i'm still holding out hope for tufts.
In light of "that" thread, I have to ask: are you being sarcastic?

Sweet.
