no way. greys was the best medical show on TV hands down. this season just sucks so far is all. seasons 1-3 were genius.
What a huge year for sports in the state of Penn.... makes me sick that they're so close to Cleveland 🙁
Pens, Sucklers, and Phils dynasty.... maybe the 76ers will do something out of sheer luck lol
Same here man. Have a good flight. 👍
I don't know if I would have done it, but if your record's not that good and you just wanted to shake things up I think you did that. (Not saying I wouldn't have done it either.)
Guys, we have a request to move the draft back one hour, so it would be 7 PM PT on 10/28. Anyone not OK with that?
no way, nip tuck is the best medical show. its not really medical but its great
Packin' for my Pitt/OSU trip. I interview on Friday and Monday; trying to fit everything I need into a garment bag + backpack so I don't have to pay to check.
word, im gonna pack soon for my MN flight. but im gonna clean my apartment first
i am a phd student trying to develop a mathematical model to analyze medical school acceptances. This will probably be a 3 year research project - which i hope will be published in a top tier academic journal.
I will appreciate hearing from you on the following:
1) since i know nothing about the field, i first need to interview some experts in the field, maybe 7 to 8 individuals, who will know about how medical schools make acceptance decisions. Would these be deans? Admission officers? Admission consultants? Authors of books on how to get into medical school? Someone else?
2) i need to know what variables affect rankings of medical schools in the popular media. Any ideas on what these variables might be? {just letting you do my homework for me 🙂 } i want the mathematical model to be as simple and elegant as possible, so i would like as few variables as possible. Suppose (hypothetical!) mcat scores affect rankings of medical schools and gpa does not affect rankings, would it be unreasonable for me to presume that schools would place more weight on mcat scores than on gpa?
3) since medical schools discriminate on the basis of residency, i need to identify 3 states where it would be the easiest to get into medical school. Any consensus on which these states are among posters on this forum?
Thank you all.
no U of MN MSTP. this is the first interview I will have to check out the city so I'm excited. Mayo rejected me like 5 days before my primary
its a thread on pre-allo
Sweet.
Looks like the garment bag thing is doable for me. I've only ever done it for a 2 day trip, and that's easy. It's pretty stuffed, I hope they don't tell me to check it.
Are you going to Mayo?
my point exactly. i caught like seasons 1, half of 2, and season 3 on surfthechannel but lost interest and time

That's how many I can do. lol Only because I became obsessed with this song sometime last year... so I sing it in my head in the robot voice:

How's it going everyone?
Staring at an empty inbox, hoping to hear from around 7 schools that are taking their sweet time offering (or not) an interview. I am starting to lose interest in pursuing any of these even if they offer an invitation...after 7 ints, and more money than I want to know, I am officially sick of interviewing.
With each passing day, I am starting to believe my cycle is over - I have an acceptance at one of my top choice schools - so what I need to do is shift my gears, quit hanging around SDN so much, and start preparing for the fun that starts next August.
How's it going everyone?
i don't know how to finish this sentence: most people don't know that i can.... (i.e. michigan). lol
... sketch.
]Check in online, and print your boarding pass.[/B]
Bypass the check in counters - don't let anyone opine on the size of your bag - the security check people don't care how large your bag is so long as it fits through the machine.
At the gate, if there are space limitations (say it is a small plane), they will take your bag and load it FOR FREE - and then you pick it up planeside, and skip the baggage carousel BS. Just watch all the businessmen - none of them check their overnighter bags, and many of them are larger than the carryon limit...
It's called a "joke." Look it up - jokes are fun!
Good idea. No ticket people to deal with and ask how big my bag is.
I know it will fit in an overhead, no worries there.
i was aware. but can't i still call you sketch. ?😛
I did it earlier this week on a flight.
Now that airlines are charging for checked bags, more people are carrying stuff to the plane. The joke is that, on the smaller planes and even on the regional jets, they stand at the door and take everyone's bag, put a tag on it, and put it down below - no charge, and no way your bag gets lost.
why, do you need a lesson?
