i went to this film screening at the MoMA with one of my friends from work and her bf. this other dude from work came along. i have a huge crush on said dude. but while answering some questions for said dude about medicaid last week (he works mainly on food stamps) he mentioned that his girlfriend went to my alma mater. i gave up on said dude. then tonight while my friend was (good-naturedly) poking fun of my alma mater (a common activity for the two of us) i pointed out that said dude's girlfriend went there too. then said dude was like, "ex-girlfriend." then i was like, ohhhhkay. (read: annnnnnd i'm back in the game.) awk.

It would have been really weird though if you had mentioned her and he didn't correct you.

meh, not really... i think we all (or at least me) went into the evening totally casually... we didn't even make the plans until the end of the workday and other people in our office were invited but were busy. whatevs, now i shall seduce him... or something.
 
use your charm, like "I have 2938 posts on SDN" or something.
 
anyone seeing this guy posting on a bunch of school specific threads asking the same exact question about how to update schools on a rescored MCAT "from a 33M to a 33N"? He has literally posted on like 7 schools' threads and is drawing some serious flak, deservingly so, lol :laugh:

omg i posted one of those once... i was waiting for the Q train at 42nd st on my way home at like 10pm one night last year and saw this semi-scruffy jewish dude wearing a backpack and a red t-shirt with pop art of woody allen on it. i basically died and was too chicken to go talk to him. so my roommates convinced me to post a missed connections thingy on craigslist. he never responded. le sigh. :laugh:
 
No, it went up but it went up by one LETTER, and he's "extremely concerned" that schools won't see it.

Haha! Awesome. I posted once for a cutie on the train, but only got really sketchy guys responding.

I check it almost every day. It's a goal of mine to make it into a missed connection.. lol.
 
Really starting to piss people off and it's hilarious. His argument makes it worse. When asked why he actually asked for a rescore on the essay he responded with, "I'm a professor and I knew I should have had a better score than an M!" :laugh:

Ok, I read one of those threads and I don't think my brains laughing center can handle reading another.

Sue AMCAS to get the "right" score 🤣
 
He also called one of his Kaplan instructors his "Kaplan professor," so he may have a different definition of professor as well 🙄 (unless, and correct me if I'm wrong, anyone has actually had a professor teach a Kaplan course?).

I'd love for him to try. And for them to laugh in his face. They probably just gave him the N out of pity since he made them rescore it.

Prolly told them that before the regrade and felt pretty damn satisfied when AMCAS caved upon hearing his threats 😉
 
I'm going to sue AMCAS for not getting the "right" MCAT score that reflects my intelligence.

I'm also suing UVA and OSU for not getting the "right" decision, and Maryland for not giving me the "right" hold status.

And LSU for not giving me the "right" acceptance.

I'll need a good lawyer, any suggestions?

I'm am literally on the fence about posting a link to this page on a thread in the general forum that is entitled "How NOT to use the School Specific Threads" and explain the situation and show the humiliation.

But I'm feeling nice tonight... nice, and lazy. 😀

wow sammich, i just read what you wrote...i don't ever want to make you mad!!😛

that is pretty ridiculous though, i can just see the adcom at harvard being like "wow, this guys writing score went up from M to N-now I just have to interview him!":laugh:


and JJ-i reject your trade proposal!
 
You'd have to be a ******* to write a M essay in the first place, IMO.
