yo bry i got cclcm next week. im mad excited. would you say that if you got in to the clinic your cycle would be over?

Yeah, I think most girls have some facial hair, but it's usually light colored and pretty hard to notice. The razor burn talk is a little disturbing.

My cycle would pretty much be over if that happened. I'd have a couple things to think about, but I think an acceptance there would probably narrow my search to about 3 schools.

Dammit, now I can't stop thinking about what i'd do if I got accepted to cclcm. I need to go distract myself.

I feel exactly the same way.

The $ alone is reason enough to not want/care to attend another interview...
 
I agree with that mostly, but I told myself I'd ride out the rest of the cycle. I feel like I can't know enough about a school until I go there.

Plus, that's my birthday weekend and a holiday weekend so it gives me a reason to fly home and see friends.

Wright St. was fantastic... so chill... students and faculty so friendly. It was a good interview experience 🙂 I'm hoping to hear back positively :xf:

Rejected from Pitt yesterday... ahh the ups and downs of this process lol (but this one was expected anyways I think)

Good to hear it went well.

We're going to need to build a cemetary for all the Pitt casualties we've experienced in this thread. The bodies are piling up and starting to smell.

basically, don't act awkward, and show them a lot of love. For example, they're very student-centric, like the two pathways. even if you know which pathway you'd like to choose, it still shows that they really work at giving their students the best opportunities.

OSU is the nicest school ever. After I got accepted, the following occured:

-A sweet flash video of fireworks and triumphant music played on the status check site
-I got a call from Dean Capers
-Both my interviewers emailed me and told me congrats

They are so classy
 
So after today, I definitely think that the medicine gods are trying to tell me something. lol

well today was my fourth interview
and for the fourth time... one of my interviewers was a pathologist
mind you that I will stubbornly ignore the medicine gods' messages but I still thought it was totally cool that I got randomly paired with a pathologist four times lol

I suppose since you're close to NYMC it's not that bad, but I don't think it compares well to any school, even FSU. UF prepares you really well for the boards, although the atmosphere and facilities aren't the best. They do have a new Cancer/Trauma center opening up within a week or two though.

Did you hint anywhere in your app you wanted to be patho? cause I stated my interest in ortho and was interviewed by several ortho surgeons.

nope. surgery has stolen away my heart (not literally lol) the moment I walked into an OR

admittedly no....but I saw the giant knife in this last pathologist's office and I only have interest in tiny....scalpel-like knifes lol
I think the main problem I'd have if I were a pathologist is that I am unable to entertain myself....I like to be around people....even ones that are unconcious lol

well, i heard that patho labs aren't the most handsome and charming, but they have a great personality. ORs may be handsome and fun, but when you wanna settle down, patho may be the better choice. you're still young, maybe you'll realize it later, just hopefully you aren't already married and had a baby with an OR by then
 
pathology looks cool

i can see myself enjoying that

it seems to be one of those specialties that is more deeply rooted in the basic sciences
