Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
you know i was a lurker on this site for a couple years and i remember a lot of his older posts...he was always kind of a cheeky/sarcastic kind of person, so i wouldnt be surprised if that whole thread is a joke or was made to get a rise

That's what it seems like. I only read about 5 responses before I realized I didn't want to get pulled into it.

If that's how it is for him, that's how it is for him. Doesn't mean it will be that way for everyone. Also doesn't mean that it won't be like that for other people. It seems like some people who haven't had that experience are getting slightly defensive.

If it is that easy, good for him. He's a lucky person. If not,. I'm pretty prepared for med school being hard.

Ah, the jealous. OK, little break.

It's goin' dooowwwwnnn :diebanana:

I realize I have a problem.

I have two tabs open for SDN. One so I can browse the other threads and one so I can keep coming back to this one when I see that there's a new post.

Oh gosh I've been doing this too. What does this mean?! Haha...

what have you guys been doing with the folders you get from interviews. i might throw them away or just put them in that OSU bag and put them away

Yeah... I'm just hoping I don't lose anything in there or need any of it...ever, which begs the question of why I'm actually saving it, lol

ahhh, ikea. so stylish but a huge pain in the ass to put together

I see someone got roped into the "med school is a breeze" thread 🙄 lol

Yeah, agreed.

I've just been stacking them up in the corner of a room. I kind of want to actually use that OSU bag because I might get a netbook.

I'm not sure how I feel about that curve. I guess we'll see how the interview goes. Still have to wait for January. Some people on SDN have been accepted, but others have said they wait until March to accept most people, do you know anything about that?

And you know I'm just playing 😛

I don't like that curve thing either, makes things a lot more cutthroat. Yes, they do put most people on "hold" until March. I remember when I interviewed there last year, there were 16 or 17 of us, and only 3 were accepted right after interview even though they accept ~64% overall.

But just wait...i'm gonna get you back for that.

were such a diverse bunch...geographically-wise s'cool

not just geographically, but really in every aspect. For example, we have the lovable ones(jackson) and the hatable ones(sammich); we have the smart ones(ksmi) and the dumb ones(sammich); we have the cool ones(rock) and the awkward ones(sammich); we have the funny ones(bb) and the irritating ones(sammich)....you get the point

I think a lot of us do that lol, I even have SDN Live opened in a 3rd tab so I know if I need to refresh+scroll the 2014 thread.

I want to join this thread. I know I'm jumping in late but this is the only relief I have right now from a pchem test that makes me feel like I'm pounding my head against a wall, plus you guys seem cool. I liked the way you were talking about that other thread with the over-the-top-chill M1.

Has anyone tried an extra strength 5-hour energy before? I'm thinking about switching over from my usual full throttle

haha... yeah.. Only to express my feelings via emoticons.

Welcome! :hello:

I've used them a couple times.

Although I had two during the MCAT since I almost overslept (my ex turned off my alarm clock...) and didn't eat breakfast, so I felt like I was having a heart attack during the bio section.. I don't recommend that....

'nuff said

if you have an exam. any energy drink + adrenaline will keep you up. and the sleep that you get after is just amazing

Holy.

Crap.

:boom:

You can subscribe to the 2014 thread, then check the "subscribed threads only" box. Also make sure to change your settings to "no email notification for subscribed threads" or something like that. You only have to do that once.

time for random question time:

for those that stay awake late nights, are there a lot of 24 hr places nearby you?

Wow, kudos to you for not strangling that significant other. I think I almost OD'ed on caffeine once too, but in a pretty weird way. I was trying to make chili, and this recipe I found called for half a cup of coffee (mistake). Not only did it make my chili taste 99% like dunkin donuts dark roast, but it packed quite a punch when I choked most of it down after my friends refused to eat it.

 y'all are nuts. while i was doing my usual spying on one page, i think there were 15+ posts. too fast too furious

Goodnight BBender!

And brooklyn - No. You'd think that in Boston SOMETHING would be open, but except for a few all night convenience stores, the city shuts down.

Does anyone else find the education connection commercials hysterical?

Does anyone else even know what I'm talking about?

Oh. I didn't see that listed in the little list o'smileys.

In that case...

You're mean, Dingy!

your sad face is getting me down 🙁 maybe you can dress up like a clown and cheer me up? if you don't know how just ask the ppl from ur future clown college!

well, there are some within driving distance, definitely. a supermarket, a gas station, a mcdonald's, and a burger king. i visit them the most often especially when i get the munchies 😀

a) I don't even know if I'm going there

and

b) wow, it's getting really old that you keep insulting the place where I might go to med school.
