I AM SO FRUSTRATED. Okay, I need to rant. I called Tulane just now to check on my status. I submitted my secondary on 9/10. I still hadn't received my complete notification, which I realize they take a while before sending complete notice out, so I wasn't too worried. Well, when I called, they told me they received my secondary YESTERDAY. I mean, really? Yesterday? They told me that I was just now complete, and they would send my application to be reviewed. I am just so completely frustrated right now.

Sorry. Tulane is notoriously slow.

just not into it anymore. i like getting data and lab meetings and journal clubs and the science of it. but 4 more years in a lab after 2 F/T years, i just dont know. I'm still only 22 so its not really the age, but i get tired of being in a lab. It might be because my project is pretty much over and im done writing up and i wont have anywhere to go for the next 6 months and what not

i also dont know if I want to be a PI in a lab. i always thought i would but idk. I feel like the Phd would just limit me or make me want things that are wayyy too specific.

I'm not sure. They're sure playing well now, but I'm not sure if they're just taking advantage of the fact that lots of teams are working in new pieces while they're the same team they have been for 3 years now. My gut feeling is they don't have the talent to really compete for the title with the other big 3 in the east, but check back with me in January.
