Won't matter to the computer, and voters couldn't possibly put Texas lower than 3 with the way Cincy played. And the voters are still going to probably put Texas at number 2.

I know, but it won't happen. The fact is, they're undefeated. And since they're from Big 12, they will get the nod over Cinci and TCU. A shame.

Yeah, Texas is going.

But about Cincy - voters tend to like when teams make epic comebacks a la Cincy. That shows heart - unlike what Texas played with tonight.
 
Really wish Texas had lost. It would have created more voice for playoff system.

Like I said, the state of Texas always ruins everything for everyone.👎

Maybe if there was anybody coming into the game that thought Cincy might legitimately be close to Texas, which I don't think is the case (at least not the majority of the voters). Also, Nebraska>>Pitt.
 
i dont think a QB should win the heisman though. they should just give it to the most NFL ready player for added marketing and benefit to the NFL consumer/audience

Ok so there was a second left, but really, there is always a little lag or runoff. I don't know, I just think it was stupid to have it be reviewed. Maybe the call was right, but the most frustrating thing was that Texas definitely didn't deserve that last chance but got it anyways.

Dude, I don't think it's possible for there to be more voice for a playoff system.

But it's not gonna happen, not now, not 10 years from now. Too much money in the current system for everyone. The end.

I sort of made my peace with this last year when Texas was on the bad end of the BCS.

The best marketing will come from the most beloved and celebrated college players like Tebow and McCoy anyways, not the most nfl ready.... which is probably Spiller.

And I just had an epiphany... I'll stop hating on Texas. This is their karma for being totally d!cked out of last year's NC. Congrats on a great SEASON overall, though maybe not a great Big 12 championship game.

I guess last year, I was just as fumed that Texas didn't make it.

So basically, the bottom line is that the BCS S*CKS
 
i think it would be too much for the average fan to keep watch of the season + a 3/4 game playoff system. people like me (that lack attention span and are more pro football oriented) benefit more from the current system

Don't think so. I hate the "everyone talks about it, so atleast it's working in that respect" argument.... imagine how much more we would talk about a playoff. We would be filling out brackets. Do or die for 3 straight games to make a national championship. It would be more exciting, hands down.

It still holds a lot of value. You have to be atleast 10-2 ish... or perhaps win your conference to make into the final 8 (hypothetically).

It's just like every other sport. Except college football breeds all these unrealistic expectations of winning a national title every year for the top schools and huge heartaches when your team comes out and loses on a bad day in conference during the middle of the season. I don't know... I just hate it.
 
its basically less money for the major conferences. and they draw the biggest crowds so

No, Texas didn't play like a national title contender today; I never said they did. Luck happens. And at the end of the day, they went undefeated in a major conference, so they deserve to get a shot at Bama. Your precious SEC team should still be favored by 10 points.
