Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I once ate two cockroaches off a dirt road. I've since lost my zeal for culinary adventure.
How odd.
I am getting forced to get a flu shot...even though I've already had it.
hummmphhh
Boo.
Eh, well, I can't say much on that front. When I was 3, I ate a live praying mantis.👍
Where would you even find one? I've never seen one.
Whatever about him. He's a loser.

seriously. i've lost all respect and interest.
You guys will feel this way for about a year. Then it'll fade into the past.
Ok, someone explain this to me.

The high for today was supposed to be 43. It is now 53. And yet, the forecast still calls for an overnight low of 24, a high the following day of 24, and 1-3" of snow.
The weatherman is very, very fickle

tool of the day

1. the guy actually pays mensa for certification (probably through mensa, i mean come on, there are porn stars who are mensa certified)
2. http://www.parkavenuelaser.com/about_drchynn.php

go to the bottom, go to hobbies

Tennis (played on the court next to Anna Kournikova when she was 11 before turning pro at Nick Bollitteieri Academy in Bradenton, FL)

who writes that?

this guy is cool and all, but he has nothing on Dr. Ming Wang. Has an MD from Hahvad and a PhD in laser physics from MIT. but really, that's chump change. according to his site,

"An innovative eye surgeon, a laser physicist, a champion ballroom dancer, a musician and a philanthropist, Ming Wang, M.D., Ph.D. is the epitome of a modern-day Renaissance man and a true artist."

He builds new eyes for poor people.

A friend of mine shadowed him and said it was "weird"

You want to see an artist? Check out this guy's work.

Does anyone else grind their teeth with they study? I don't even realize I do it.

Yup.

I have 20+ wave invites. if you want one, PM me your gmail info and swear to never give anyone mine.

You mean, I wasn't supposed to start PMing your email to random users?

We are definitely going to pass the co 2013 thread in a few months here. They're slowin' down.

I was adding my work schedule to my calendar and I found that on April 13th, there's a note: "35703 post in 2014?" I think I might have made a bet with someone in 2013 to see if we'd be bigger than they were at the time. I think I won.

or just stop posting in this thread-- fewer posts for us

Yeah, this. Please!

I am getting forced to get a flu shot...even though I've already had it.
hummmphhh

That sucks

Idk, but it snowed here on Friday and yesterday was in the 70s. I wore shorts and flip flops to class.

I remember that.

How convenient that you'll get your wish probably over the next week or so with my exams 🙄

*obligatory whining that you're done*

There, I'll try and keep that whining at something of a minimum.

just walked through a snowstorm to go to the gym. did some jump rope and went swimming. i haven't been swimming in years. felt crazy good.

courtside tix to LA @ NYK (at MSG) is 7500. thats ridiculous. Mezzanine (uppermost) tickets are going upto $500

April 2010?

Mine's going well. I'm going to leave work early!

seems outrageous to me too... we passed that a looooong time ago

in other news, i'm having a crappy day. how's about all of yous?

The crappy part of my day is all over. I have a bunch of studying to do, but at least I can do that from the comfort of my apartment.

Did you have some kind of PBL today or something?

Bingo.

I had a patient interaction as well, but I actually like those.

BTW, do you go to class often?
I usually do on Wednesdays since I'm already there. Otherwise only to required stuff. Sometimes I go for half days if there's a talk at lunch I want to hear also.

Yeah, I just really don't retain much from sitting in lecture. I think I'm easily distracted😳.

Plus, sleeping in is nice.

who goes to less class, me or you?

let's compare undergrad:

my senior year roommate and I had 6 classes together before (one was like 13 ppl) and I never knew him because I didn't attend any of those classes besides the introductory one.

I also skipped first day lectures (and every single one then on) for gen chem 2, orgo 2 and physics 1/2.

i cant do lectures at all. one of my interviewers seemed to pick that up (maybe it was in my recs?).

alright your turn

Edit missed we're talking ugrad.

Senior year I only showed up for tests, and I went to one day of a bio class to turn in an extra-credit paper and I think that may have been it for non-test day attendance.

well i cant really talk med school. but knowing myself i don't think i'll be going to class (which both of the schools seemed to be okay with).

I did go to most classes my 1st year of college though. Was trying learn how to be a good student and then I realized lectures= mostly worthless.

i always try to go the first week. i usually fail though. it sucks if you have like a french/spanish course in the morning

I took German 1, 2 &3. Even though I spoke German above those levels before taking the classes. easiest A ever, I basically just acted like a TA and helped the other students.

I didn't speak French and there weren't any pretty girls in the class😡
