Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
brook, I can't believe anyone would write that crap. Don't think Pryor wrote that, he's not that dumb.

did anyone see terrelle pryor's research paper

Research is the most used resource to finding out something you need from school papers to things you want to buy. Research is also used to find cheaper shopping supplies. For instance one store may have had a pricey type of material one was looking for and the other store you researched was a couple dollars cheaper. Coming out of high school I was thinking to my self what I wanted to do for a living and what I wanted to major in to start the quest for my job. Research is also used to find shopping cheaper shopping supplies.

I used the research process to find out what type of job specific major I wanted to major in and what type of job I wanted to do when I graduated from college. I researched different types of jobs, Criminal justice, business, communications, and education. I came up with criminal justice but couldn’t decide between business and criminal justice. I did research on business and did their pros and cons. Then, I did the pros and cons of criminal justice. I came up with in the business world you can either have a good chance at the type of business you want to start or a bad business that won’t sell or bring in money.

Another part of my research I did was the most important factors in the business, was what they want for what they can afford and is there a profit that can help me out to make some extra money. The availability of the job openings, the job entails, the pay hours. I looked up also whether I would have to be in school for along time or not to get a job. Also my personal enjoyment in the job would I love to do every day I woke up to go to work.

With out research I would not have been able to get these types of information for the job that I want to do for the rest of my life. If one would just go and do something with out researching first they could’ve missed something that could have later benefited later on or benefited one more then the other.

Considering all the FB admins for that group are from Michigan, I seriously doubt they "found" this paper that was written by Terrelle. It seems like a cruel joke to me.

It is a Law and Order: SVU marathon!!! Ahhh... My studying is done for tonight. Done.

The Heisman, just like the BCS, is such garbage.

Gerhart played in 1 fewer game and had 200 more yards and 11 (!) more touchdowns than Ingram.

I agree, Gerhart should have one this. But like you said, it's all a crappy system.

He also played in a worse conference. I'm not sure which one is better, but I can see the argument.

I think Suh should've won, though it's pretty impossible to figure out how to compare him to the offensive players.

Gerhart played in a worse conference?

You, my friend, would be mistaken in saying that.

The SEC is so friggen' over-rated.

Top to bottom, the Pac-10 was the strongest conference this year.

False. Even as a huge Big 12 fan, I've gotta concede they were stronger this year. Especially looking at Alabama's schedule.

Talking to you.

Woohoo! So what do you wanna talk about lol?

Theoretically? Studying. In practice, a wave of exhaustion just hit me.

I think I only have enough change left for one more soda. I better make the next hour or so of caffeine worth it.

So Spurs, I have a question for you. At MCG, the students were saying that their finals aren't cumulative. Is this the same for you? For all medical schools?

Whaaat? All I saw was top to bottom mediocrity. USC wasn't the usual powerhouse, Cal was a joke, and Stanford can hardly be considered a great team. The only team worth mentioning is Oregon.

I am stealing Spur's question.😀

It can vary by school and even within the same school. We had a cumulative biochem final, but in anatomy it's non-cummulative. So at least here whatever faculty member is course director decides if it's cummulative or not.

More or less, they're not cumulative. First year, we have six ~6 week blocks, and at the end of each of those we have an exam that covers material only from that one six-week period. This week we've got our block three exam Tuesday, then Friday we have a cumulative Fall I exam. However, it's supposed to be very much a "big picture" thing where they just want you to integrate big concepts rather than recall pointless minutiae from all three blocks; the average on it was apparently like a 95 last year. Then in December of second year, there is a giant cumulative "end of basic science" exam (since Baylor is a 1.5 year preclinical school, we take it midway through MS2); I'm not sure exactly what they mean there by cumulative, but the MS2s do seem kinda freaked out about that one.

Not sure what other schools do; Baylor's curriculum is a little unusual because of the whole 1.5 year preclinical curriculum thing, so I'm not sure if you should really use us as a guide for what other schools do 😳
Not that this is the best metric, in fact, it's admittedly a pretty crappy one, but the SEC has 3 teams in the top-25, while the Pac-10 has 5.

Really what we need to look at is how the conferences have done head-to-head this year.

I'm looking for that stat now...

Alabama's schedule was brutal. They had to beat both of those other ranked teams (with Florida being at a neutral location), and then they also had No. 12 Virginia Tech at a neutral location. The SEC also had a number of other teams that could've made a case for being in the top 25 at the end of the season.

That's interesting. Do you have many cumulative finals?

It's almost Christmas 🙂

I can't wait to go home and see all my college and high school friends. I've got plans with so many people, I hope I can fit them all in in the two weeks I have.

Anybody have any fun plans coming up for the break?

Very very interesting. I didn't realize that about Baylor. Doesn't Duke shorten the length of pre-clinical years too?

Alas, no. Just work. I gotta make some money. I am so broke.

I'm being a fatty. Someone make me stop. Someone tell me about the wonderful successes they're having with losing weight so that I can be motivated. It's just so hard at home. There's food everywhere.

They do, even moreso. They squeeze everything into one year, and then everyone takes a research year, IIRC. It's becoming more common, though Baylor has done it for a while now.

My family usually celebrates x-mas on St. Lucias day (It's a big holiday in Scandinavia in-case anyones wondering wtf). But since my finals are ruining that we're celebrating it on the 21st.

Me and my sibs are staying at my parents for one week, catch up with them (one just landed some 2 week internship though so I dunno what he's going to be up to). I've got a friend who just moved back from the west coast so I'm going to make sure I see him while I'm around.

Still haven't decided what to do with my second week of break. Probably come back home and just relax.

so nothing too exciting.

yeah, it wouldn't suprise me if in the next 10-15 years that gets even more popular (the 1.5 pre-clinical years thing that is).

In relation to Alabama's vs. Stanford's schedule:

Yes, Alabama played 5 teams ranked at that time: Virginia Tech (7), Mississippi (20), South Carolina (22), LSU (9), and Florida (1).

But Stanford played 4 teams ranked at that time: Washington (24), Oregon (8), USC (9), and California (25).

Not an appreciable difference.

And if you look at teams Alabama and Stanford played that are currently in the top-25, it looks even closer:

Alabama played VA Tech (11), LSU (12), Florida (5).

Stanford played Oregon (7), Oregon State (18), Arizona (20), and USC (24).

Florida>>>everyone else among those teams. And amongst all those teams, Alabama played the top 2 highest ranked at the time. Stanford played some decent teams, but Alabama's schedule was just better.

I've actually been very, very good lately. Cereal for breakfast, sandwich and chips for lunch, lean cuisine for dinner, with a snack in there. Wash, rinse and repeat, with a couple of exceptions (can't diet every single day or you'll just dishearten yourself). Since the beginning of October, I've lost a solid 10-15 pounds. I've leveled out over the last week because I'm not working out with all this studying, but I'm counting that as a win considering my inactivity.

Considering all the working out you've been doing and how good you've been doing lately, if you're just struggling over the last day or so, that's no biggie cuz you have to let yourself indulge every now and then or you'll go insane. Just get back to it tomorrow. You keeping up with that kickboxing class over the break?

Can't. The rec doesn't do those class over break. But once the semester starts again I will. Running at home just doesn't have the same appeal. Maybe I'll see what FitTV has to offer.
