Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never been to a different city for new years. My buddies from another grad school want me to go to Charleston but friends from hs are coming to Columbus so I'm torn. Probably going to stay in Columbus though.... I'm broke right now kind of.

This year I'll be in DisneyWorld!

Last year I was in the ATL, but didn't do anything because I was so tired from driving up.

This different city thing is new and only because of LSU football games.

Sigh. My dad works for the Department of Transportation and Development and I believe he's like second in command in the state when it come to road construction... great.

yea for my MUSC mstp interview. it was a great time. i got so wasted. the city is pretty beautiful (and the med school + grad school is pretty amazing too). fun place

So, in response to one of the letters I sent, the person tells me that I've been rejected, but she will put my letter on file anyway. I mean, why couldn't they have told me I was rejected if they already knew it? No, instead, I waste time and energy writing this letter to them only to be embarrassed in the end.

Whoa... that's really ****ty of them. Are you gonna put up a fight? Try get unrejected? Grrr.... I hate the shady ways of these schools.

i think my friend and i might do times square. i've never been down there for new years though i bet it's crazyyy i'm a little scared haha.

I'm not going to say what school only because I know of a few people 'round these parts that have interviewed there, and I would hate for this incident to, in any way, influence their decision to attend that school. However, I will say that I am thoroughly upset with the school, and I almost want to respond to them, just to express my utter disappointment in their handling of my application and to let them know how embarrassing the situation is for me.

i think im gonna be at nyc too. probably not times square though. i'll try to see if i can sneak into that marriott times square with the rotating restaurant

Well I might have to twist some arms, I just didn't know what you guys wanted to do. And I am not going to advocate moving a giant thread like this just to have to move it back because the natives get restless. If we move it I am already going to have to do it at like 3 am and lock it I imagine.

why wouldn't we want it moved to allo?
 
and lstone, that sucks big time. that's my biggest fear/annoyance about this process-- i understand why some schools want to sit on the final decisions about admissions until march, but why sit on rejections? even the non-rolling schools should tell us as soon as they decide to reject us. that way we know that no news = good, or at least neutral, news. if i ran the world...

I'd totally want to be influenced by the incident. Just because I feel that the lack of courtesy could effect the students attending the school as well.
