Nah. I wore like a wool peacoat type thing over my suit during a storm before an interview. Whatever. Just hang it up when you get in the admissions office and it's no big deal.

I'm kinda skeptical that they have much impact right after an interview. I mean, presumably you just told the interviewer what you've been up to. Besides, if you give 'em all the good stuff pre-decision, you've got no ammo left if you get WLed.

mine has been up (sans MCAT and GPA but I am really as average as they come) pretty much the entire time I've been on here.

gah, i just realized i think i'm going to be in florida when you come for your interview! man, it would have been fun to get a beer or something. and i had swine flu when Blue was here for sinai. i always have some stupid reason for missing cool SDN meetup opportunities.

don't worry about how dumb your outerwear looks. there's a coatroom you can stash stuff in when you first get there, and you're only outside once for a *very* short time on the tour. most of the tour involves going to buildings that are connected, and that's after you've had a chance to re-stash your stuff away in the coatroom.
 
also, it's not that cold here. today i went hatless and gloveless. just coat and scarf. it's supposed to be like this for the next week or so, i think.

there is a picture of my ex-bf on facebook wearing a ushanka and i captioned it with that exact sentence! i think he has since de-tagged. alas. he looked so disgruntled and russian in it :laugh:

Hahah SOOO quick update (mostly since Tata's been missing me 😛) official rejection from Wake Forest. I'm starting to narrow down school choices a lot more. Still haven't completely my FAFSA (but that will happen this WEEKEND!!!) And my first Anatomy test is tomorrow and I have yet to start studying (I know, I'm a horrible person).

How are YOU guys!? Getting stared at sounds pretty fun. Random stuff about the lakers (gag)

ESPECIALLY 8 AM anatomy tests! Luckily, it's mostly about things I know: the Autonomic Nervous System and Sense organs (mostly vision and hearing). I'll just have to focus on the endocrinology section. 👎

8 am's should not be allowed. I just cannot function that early. I am much more of a night owl than a morning person.

oh, and re: 8am classes... columbia claims it's an "urban campus" so we didn't have any classes before 9am. that's yet another reason i wanna go there for med school 😀

And! A cute undergrad with an english accent who also works in my lab gave me a ride home on his bike today. 🙂 Cute boys with bikes are cute.

I have not had an 8:30 since freshman year. I learned that lesson reallll quick. It was a french class meeting 4 times a week and there were numerous times when I'd be flying through the campus in my PJs in a desperate attempt to make it on time.
Oh freshman year!

well Emory either sends you good news or no news until March. But I really cannot see what would make me look so phenomenal in later meetings if they didn't like me this time around. There is a slight chance that our stupid mail center is stupid. They are kind of spotty with timing of their delivery. I guess I will know for sure in a week. Not holding out hope though.
