Speaking of that, we have far too many public universities for our state.

We don't need as many universities, I think Louisiana has the most per capita or population or whatever.

We need to cut a ton of these schools completely so that we don't need to cut budgets at the flagship school that basically salvages higher education for Louisiana. But of course, it would cause racial issues...
 
2 of 3 exams for the day down. Can't keep the information from falling out of my freaking head. Someone help me put it all back.:scared:

Agreed! Basically LSU>> :laugh: No, but really, I'm torn on the whole TOPS issue. It's amazing, but I really don't think that there should be so many schools involved in that system. They should make it like, you can use TOPS if you go to LSU, ULL, LA Tech, and like maybe a few other places, but there's like a bajillion schools.
 
Okay. So, FAFSA. Never have done one before. It's smart to start filling this thing out now right? Even if I only have Waitlists? I want to start tonight.

Also, I haven't worked on a payroll in like 2 years, so does that mean I do not need to provide any of my own "work" documents and just need to receive the tax info forms from my parents?

Schools that should be closed: LSU-Shreveport, LSU-Alexandria, LSU-Eunice (maybe), Grambling, Southern-NO, maybe Southern, I guess Nicholls and ULM can stay just because of regional location.

Why would anyone get married in the fall in Baton Rouge? That's just plain dumb!

Weddings ruin football season every year and yet people make the same stupid mistakes over and over. *******es.

Well, it's about LSU football - since most people have their weddings on Saturday nights, which is when LSU plays home games.

If it were a Friday night, it wouldn't be that bad unless we had a day game the next day - which is totally legit since we'll probably be playing Bama that weekend.

Hells yeah. I respect my guests and their wishes, plus I wouldn't want to put myself or the person I'm marrying through all of that. People around here get really mad at you if you hold a wedding during a football game.

I had to go to a wedding this year when the Saints played the Cowboys, but that's because of the NFL's stupid Saturday football thing late in the season.

This girl is a little out there. I don't think I've seen her in like over a year. We were on colorguard together in high school, and I'm not sure she's made many new friends since then. I mean we still talk, but we're not like that close. This is also a girl who planned out a whole other wedding before, told everyone she was engaged, blah blah blah. Come to find out she wasn't engaged. So I'm not even sure this is happening. I'll just go with it.

My parents actually got married during football season, but not the weekend of a home LSU game. They even gave all the groomsmen and ushers tickets to the next home game as a thank you present.

These things are very important to consider!
 
Well, she was in a serious relationship, and they had talked about getting married, just never actually did the proposal thing.

I think it's real this time. But if not, oh well.

haha i had that happen to me too-my friend asked me to be her maid of honor last febuary for her wedding august 31, 2011. they have kind of decent reasons though-aug 31 was the day they started dating and they have to pay for it all themselves so they're saving up.

I feel like it's weird that I've been with my gf for so long, and yet the idea of marriage really hardly ever comes up.

I guess i still just see myself as "too young" for that kind of thing, even as several of my other college friends are thinking about/doing it.
 
My entire lower and left side of my jaw are completely numb.... Got cavities filled for the first time ever 🙁 I managed to make it 23 years and then I had 3... Granted one was in my baby tooth and they're not really meant to survive this long.

It's for the Governor, and it's a motivational/inspirational speech of sorts for the youth leaders coming to the Capitol. It was fun to write, but I wish I had been given a little more notice!

i find it to be the total opposite, i find wayyyyy more girls in shorts or skirts in freezing weather

We have some stupid girls here that will wear miniskirts with Ugg boots and parkas. 👎

Also so many of our girls here dress like slobs and just wear nike running shorts with leggings when it's cold. That doesn't create warmth.
