My aunt in Amsterdam just said she would pay at least $5k/year for my med school!!! 😀 😀

Finally, my only rich relative comes through! That's such good news.
 
nah we were too late for the open bar or whatever. but last night was pretty ridic and worth it. maybe the last time i get to celebrate one of my best friend's bday
 
I 😍 coffee. Coffee and scones. In fact, coffee and scones might just be my idea of heaven. Mmmm... I am so glad the snow and ice couldn't stop me from getting my daily dose.

Nice! Just so happens that I also have a very wealthy aunt and uncle that reside in Amsterdam. Unfortunately for me though, my family doesn't really talk to them much, and I highly doubt they would ever do something like that for me.

Yeah, I was kind of worried about that because they don't talk to my parents much and her husband HATES my dad - there was a really big incident like 12-13 years ago and they haven't spoken since. But it's working out, and it sounds like I should be able to get even more than 5k/year, that was just a conservative estimate.

So my dad bought a used HDTV today for $100. It's just like the one I have at my house, but newer. It's a Samsung 30" tube HDTV, so it's thicker, but not as thick as the really old school TV I have at my apartment. Looks like this:

It's been a pretty good last couple of days - snow, new TV, med school monies.

Now I'm about to go to Mardi Gras and hopefully have a good time. Sometimes it just pisses me off, though.
 
Anyone here listen to or have heard of Satie? I really love his Gnossiennes.

I'm old enough to love Super Nintendo games more than N64 games, but I have to say, Ocarina of Time surmounts A Link to the Past IMO. However, I like FF6 (USA FF3) more than all the other FF's.

New TV?? Wow, these past few days have been good to you.

I got to watch TV for the first time last night in the past month or two. Law and Order (my favorite show) and then the Opening Ceremony to the Winter Olympics. I watched some of The Heartbreak Kid, which was horrible.

I guess it's not new, but it's an HDTV - which I don't have.

The Heartbreak Kid was bad, wasn't it? I saw that a couple of years ago and wanted my money back for the rental.

I'm just not celebrating Valentine's Day! I don't get to see my boyfriend again for another couple weeks!

Instead, tonight I have to be in this Dancing with the Stars thing. It's going to be fun!
