yeah the "deserve" part could definitely be interpreted in many diff ways. if you don't play clean/fair its could be construed as cheating, so you don't deserve to win either. in any case, speed skating is action packed and IMO, the most entertaining winter olympic sport.

and yeah, i think short track is probably the most fun for me to watch. partly because there's really not much that i need to understand

:laugh: It's okay - college football. Only 2 teams can get to final game, and it's not really decided on the field usually.

Who wins the college basketball tournament goes down to who is actually the best or who is the hot team at the moment - so it's more indicative of who's the best.

darn i was close! sort of...i knew it was college, that's a good start.

Ah, that's right, March madness = basketball. I went to a D3 school so I've never experienced all the glory of D1 college sports.
 
anyone have better word for "great" in the context of a great feeling after your interview at a specific school 😕

If you're talking about schools, maybe mention how comfortable and at ease you felt in that environment and around those people at the particular school. Or how immediately impressed you were with xyz.

wow nbc is showing the russian guy's comments about not winning...he's such a jerk!! what a bad loser...evan is being so diplomatic about it though and not talking bad about him at all, just saing how it probably came out of dissapointment.

to be honest...I'd say that he is a fair representation of my experience with russian guys.
eye roll inducing 99.5% of the time.

true, but i definitely think you can be a gracious loser too. it almost says more about you the way you act when you aren't the winner and have to deal with a little dissapointment, imo. we obviously can't know for sure, but i just can't imagine evan would have acted the same way if the situation were reversed.


and on the same sports related talk, i watched tiger's speech and completely agree with what you guys had said about it. so insincere and rehearsed!
 
tiger just doesn't want to lose the 500 million. i wonder if he actually cares about elin, probly not, but it probably doesnt matter.

its not as playa as john edwards using public funds to cover up his affair and illegitimate child though i guess

some russian guys don't have the stereotypical tolerance of alcohol that i thought they would! ukrainian girls are mad fun to hang out with

my brother doesn't even like alcohol...thank god.
dont forget russian girls too...we are at least as fun as the ukranian chicas
 
**** i hate california...i just got in an accident and it wasnt even my fault...there are too many ****ty drivers here ugh. Now im more ****ed. Driving in cali makes me want to move to wisconsin for med school lol...no accidents in the middle of nowhere.

Some driver runs a red light, hits another car, which causes that car to ram into my car and completely total it while im stopped at a red light. only in cali does this happen non-stop🙁

bad yes all the cars look like a smashed aluminum can. Amazingly enough, no one was really hurt. Im surprised we were all ok it was one fo those accidents where it was a miracle only minor injuries occured. I just bought this car last year...theres no way i have enough money for another car🙁

haha insurance wont do a damn thing since the guy in the accident of course had no insurance. So basically my insurance compnay will raise my rates if they want to cover a dime of what happened. Gotta love it. not to mention my uninsured motorist coverage is only like 5k or so.

Although, looking at the % of total traffic deaths that are alcohol-related, I just want to strangle every single person who has drove drunk. 😡 Anything is better! Sleep it off on a bathroom floor somewhere, I don't care! Do not get behind the wheel if you are intoxicated, and don't let your friends either. /end rant
