Whole foods is expensive. But I wouldn't call Trader Joes thrifty by any means. It may be cheaper than Whole Foods; I unfortunately don't get to do the shopping in my household (I love you mommy). If it were up to me every grocery store and pharmacy would be replaced by McDonalds. Being a physician would be so much easier. "Oh bronchitis? I'm writing a prescription for a McDouble with a caramel Frappe. That'll cure your bronchitis and your short term depression!"

I don't believe I mentioned other users. I was simply stating that it was my mistake to assume how people will react to certain things. If that means I'm speaking about someone specific behind their back then I am sorry and will not continue this discussion. P.S. we gotta stick together, we're gonna be living in the same house coming anytime between January and May 2011 according to metallica.

TJ's is actually cheaper than my local grocery store for fruits and veggies, beer, and some frozen foods. The down side is they don't have a huge selection of stuff.

Grocery shopping is expensive in general. I spent almost $80 last weekend and I don't even know what the hell I bought.

My addiction started when AMCAS came out.

It got worse when secondaries came out.

It peaked when interviews started coming out.

Now it's really bad because it's a great procrastination aid.

The Dentist I worked for always shopped at Trader Joes. She always ate things I didn't know existed, like almond butter and olive butter and all these different types of butter. My mom prefers the local middle eastern grocery store for most of our products and the local grocery or costco for everything else. I can't complain cause I get to eat for free. I'm sure I'll learn all the tricks of the trade of shopping when I move out.

Sammich, Five Guys is a burger joint that began in the DC area. My bff says there are some locations opening up in your area.

oakland, Five Guys also makes me feel disgusting afterwards. I only end up eating 1/3 of the fries, my friends eat another 1/3, and the remaining 1/3 I pick at.

I started after I submitted AMCAS I think. I did a random google search for some school information and a thread came up.. Then I started poking around because I was on co-op and killing time...

no, no, no...I was saying that I don't care what controversy you started, its not right for posters in this thread to slander you in the way they did. It happens often here and I am pretty shocked at how the MODs let it continue to persist...such is life. Sorry for the confusion!

It's from one of my medical technology classes... blood banking. When you have a large donation of blood, you aliquot it into "pedie packs" so that you can transfuse over time and save as you go.

I wish I would have joined you guys earlier. I seriously think it would have helped me submit my app in a more timely fashion.

Also you guys kinda bonded more over interview invites and interviewing at places... mine has just been a buzz here and there over the past 4 months.

It was pretty fun being on here when the first wave of invites came out. People were getting them left and right and it was cool. How amazing and prosperous the cycle looked at that point, before decisions...
