do you still get a little bit anxious when you see gmail - Inbox (1)? its like a conditioned response now to have my heart start going a little, get a little excited. then, of course, i open email and its....drum roll please...$5 off your next purchase at bed bath and beyond. argh! will i ever have a normal physiological and emotional response to emails ever again?

Yes, except for me it's always the Hotwire travel ticker.

I usually get silly, overly cheesy forwarded emails from my uncles. Stuff like "THREE words for a BETTER LIFE!" with an attached, ridiculous powerpoint

i prefer my whey protein with water followed by a little peanut butter for breakfast

Mmmm...peanut butter. I should try that sometime. I have mixed it with soymilk and a banana, which comes out pretty yummy too! I think we'd get along well 😀

 dude that sounds awesome. sometimes i get really bored and i start looking through my spam folder for the best email

 i would find it hard to get mad at such a wholesome and uplifting email.

i now hate BBB, sephora, and amazon for constantly causing my blood pressure to rise. i never realized how much junk email i got until now.

speaking of peanut butter, i put pb (creamy), milk, strawberries, and bananas (+ sometimes flax seeds) into a smoothie. it sound wierd but works for me.

I put flax seeds into everything. Even quinoa! Delicious and nutritious!

ok ps...holy cr@p there is a dude suspended by like one single cord washing the windows of the chem building
Atwood2.jpg

all those blue-ish parts are glass. YIKES!

quinoa rocks my socks! its the perfect protein. no meat can even claim that.

wait is this just a picture of building or is the guy actually hanging from the roof? i was searching like where's waldo trying to find the guy

I deleted that email. Who else is playing?

Big Boi from Outkast and Prom Date?

I know what you mean, except I just always get emails from AED or my school's government talking about budget cuts. 👎

just the building....he is a pretty fast fella...made his way to that third stripe of clear glass from the top in the amount of time since I've noticed him!

man...id hate that job...all you got is some rope, and a suction cup thingy to maneuver around.
At least it isn't ridiculously hot and sunny today.

so...now that the olympics are over, how am i supposed to waste my time? 😕

I guess spring training starts later this week. that's nice. maybe I'll make a trip out to Arizona

and I'm technically still in school but I'm done with classes? sort of hard to explain

Yuck, I am not a baseball fan. Another reason why summer television programming sucks.

Hopefully I'll be too busy doing other stuff this summer to watch TV anyway.

a trip to arizone, huh? are you a panda fan?

and ftr - my shower carrier/holder thingy stays up the shower and that uses suction cups. and whats steamer and hotter than a shower? okay wow, that comment could be murdered. but frankly, i don't think i would trust my life on a rope and suction cup. i need some anchors, strong rope, some caribeeners (sp), and a good gri gri.

I think we can just agree that his job is kind of nuts and hopefully he gets paid justly.

i love a good greek salad with chicken breast cut up on top. you get your greenery and protein in one meal. adding on a nice yogurt for the sweet factor as a little dessert tops it off for me.

That sounds AMAZING!!! I will have to try that tomorrow...

thanks guys🙂

lstone-maybe a nice sandwich with turkey and lots of veggies on wheat bread? or some veggie soup with some nice bread to dip in it? or i like runningdiva's salad suggestion too.

I love a good turkey sandwich/sub. I have that at least twice a week!

Do you have Soup Plantation or Sweet Tomatoes where you are? That's my favorite healthy lunch.

If not, you can make one of the smoothies I make every morning: frozen fruit, fiber supplement, protein powder, a whole banana and fruit juice (I use orange). It sounds labor intensive, but when you buy the stuff in bulk from costco and make one every day, it only takes a minute to make and another minute to clean the blender. The fiber makes it soooooo filling...I usually don't eat anything until I make dinner that night after one of those smoothies 🙂

Hmmm... I've never heard of those two places before... I'll have to search google and see if there are any around here.

Also, I love fruity protein smoothies. I'm not too good at making them myself though.

Ooh, 95 on my probability test. 🙂

Woohoo! Good job!

Yeah, I had no idea either. I unsubscribed from most newsletters and store email listservs over the course of this year because of the added stress.

Good morning all 🙂

Did you just wake up Sammich?!

Yeah, I had no idea either. I unsubscribed from most newsletters and store email listservs over the course of this year because of the added stress.

I actually have no newsletters and store stuff sent to my Gmail/school email. Unfortunately, the one I can't delete - the school itself - is responsible for 99% of my new email.

Haha, yeah, you can't get rid of that one. Most of my emails are school related too. Before, they were all emails pertaining to class and graduation and clubs, but now, they're all alumni emails asking me for money to donate lol.

I made it to 100 posts in here! Nearly half of my lifetime posts on SDN in almost 5 years!

I like Life and Monopoly, but those take too long.

I played Balderdash a while ago with some friends from work, and that was really fun. You can beast that game if you know a bunch of big words.

Monopoly is by far the best, and I was always the racecar and the banker.

i love balderdash! cranium pop 5's really fun too. i don't think i've ever played just regular cranium though which is kinda strange.

Battleship is fun. I like playing it online every once and awhile.

I have never even heard of this one.

Have any of you ever played Mancala? That's also a really fun game...

We had a Mancala board thingy at home when I was growing up, but my brothers and I never knew what to do, so we just threw the rocks at each other.

Me and my gf almost broke up over a game of Monopoly. It can be a relationship killer.

 I totally understand!! Monopoly almost always results in fighting! But that's part of the tradition of it! At least, it is in my family...

Haaaaa I love 'Sorry!'. My favorite part is screaming SORRY! extremely loud and smashing someone else's pawn off the board.

yessss I also love the pleading/begging that results when someone gets to choose which pawn to kick off

"dude, you should totally kick off jim's pawn, he made fun of your fart joke earlier"

...yes my friends and I are very mature.

I've lived here for 7 whole months now. I have just turned on the oven for the first time.

Of all apartments I've lived in for the past 3 years, I've used the oven once. Obviously, I don't cook very often.

The only time I ever use my oven is when I buy dough and make pizza/calzones. Otherwise... never. Use the stove-top all the time though.
