Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i'm just going to go ahead and make enemies of everyone here and say i dislike both boston and new york

boston is really expensive though, to be honest. like ridiculously expensive. i think rent is just a tad below manhattan (you get more for the money) but the food is more in boston

O snap brooklyn. City full of chokkeessss.....

will you still love them when they sign rudy gay to a $120 million dollar contract this summer?

no i would hang myself if they give a max to joe johnson or rudy or bosh minus lebron

its lebron/wade 2010 or melo 2011 or bust

we've covered the topic at length like 8 times. it will get heated, trust

Elmo, did everything work out W/ you? I remember you had somethign funky happen right?

That guy's blog and video are hilarious. The part in his blog about the attending saying to the resident, "These aren't the droids you're looking for," made me :meanie:

back again!
😀
It turns out that I stood in front of 50+ pledges with my jeans zipper and button undone!
oh noes!

meh, i vaguely recall what you had up previously. your stats are out of my league anyway, it'd be a somewhat futile exercise in voyeurism.

so...what are the news with bannie?
i feel like if he had gotten in, we would have seen an explosion unlike any the world has ever seen before.

and i don't mean just on SDN, i think we literally would have seen him arrange fireworks and bombs to go off all over canada.

haha. Canada=20 minute drive for me, so i'll tell you guys if I see any fireworks or hear any abrupt explosions.

I hope he posts something flaming the mods and talking about why harvard is amazing (if he got in), or why harvard is unfair (if he didn't get in).

So I have an interview wed. that I am leaving for tomorrow. I'm confused on how to play this one out. This will most likely be my second last interview (unless Buff miraculously pulls through) and I REALLY don't want another waitlist decision. Should I try to alter my interview approach? Obviously it is not horrible as I have never been rejected post-interview...but I also haven't been accepted. The only thing people on SDN have told me that seems applicable was to "act more nervous". I don't get nervous around strangers so it will be hard to "fake nervousness". It's not like I had my feet up on the desk in the past either. Thanks for any input 2014ers

Just be yourself man. I don't think taking an approach towards interviews is necessarily a good idea. But then again, I know nothing so take what I say with a grain of salt.

On a side note: Aquaporins are so amazing.

good luck zona!! i'd say don't be afraid of letting them know how badly you want to go there. show them some loooove

for my interviews i tried to come up with at least 2-3 concrete, unique things that drew me to the school so that i could ask questions about them at the end of the interview and/or have a solid answer ready for why i wanted to go to X school. showing interest + being a likable person = 👍

I would definitely not try to fake nervousness!
This may sound like old news but I listen...a lot and find things that are different about the school that I really like. Then, work it into your interview.

Honestly, I don't know what "extraordinary" you need to do to be accepted, just be yourself, be confident, keep in mind what the school is looking for.

 Yeah I don't think I could.

Anyways, I will prob just do what I've done in the past. There is already a ton I know and like about the school so hopefully excitement will shine through as genuine.
Thanks 👍
