I see the boys have moved to the MMadness thread to talk about their basketball. They need to talk about it somewhere, don't they?
I was wondering why this thread died. Lol.

Seriously if you live in Boston and are not outside there's something wrong with you.

Picnic over. Being driven about an hour away for a BBQ party. Whoo.

I don't even know what the scariest animal in the ocean is?!?!?

If you guys have better suggestions please tell me. If I don't get into med school I don't want to be a marine biologist, but lets pretend I do want to for tonight.

I'm a Marine Bio concentration. 👍

I would go with the irakonji (sp?) jellyfish, it's like microscopic and can kill you.

who would win in a one on one game b/w llamaworm and blobfish

Llamaworm has the height advantage.

it'd be a big defensive struggle, but i think the llama worm would eke out a victory

I agree. The ball might get stuck in the blobfish, though.

Villanova lost. But I think everybody saw that coming.

Mmmmhhmmmm. Good thing I had Baylor in my Elite 8.

big east sucks

Big 12 was the best conference this year.

Hey, can you guys give me your opinions on school of choice? I have 3 acceptances and am undecided. Or is there a better thread for that?

I need new running shoes. Anyone owned the new nikes free (v7.0, I think????)

Those are sprinting shoes. They destroy your feet on long runs. I own a pair and absolutely hate them. Go with New Balance or Asics. Nike makes great basketball shoes, but their running shoes get horrible reviews and are extremely uncomfortable. My feet actually go numb whilst running with the frees.

Check out school specific threads

Look at the School Specific Discussion sub-forum. But you can post here too and we'll chime in if we've interviewed at any of them.

I woke up at 4 p.m. today... That's awesome for my circadian cycle.

What is everyone up to today?

Brooks have a great platform. I used to have plantar fasciitis but my Brooks Defyance got rid of it.

I've been running NB for a while now. They are pretty comfy, relatively cheap and take a lot of abuse (I run every day). On my 4th pair in 2 years.

Brooks are great too. Just any running shoe from a company that only makes running shoes. Nike spends all their main resources making basketball shoes and don't put in a lot of consideration towards their running shoes.

NB are so legit. Plus they have a lot of cool features like mine have those beaded shoe laces so that they don't become loose on a long run.

It's also important to understand how you run. I personally need a lot of support on the inside of my foot, so I go with a shoe that provides that. You can literally see that the material on the medial aspect of my shoe is much denser than on the outside.

Also the most important part of a running shoe is the heel. Make sure the heel looks tough on your shoe because that is the part that will wear down the fastest.

Asics makes great running shoes if you like cushion. Nike also makes some excellent running shoes at the upper end of their price range. Those are the two that I usually stick with.

The weather blows in Chicago. Especially for a 10k tomorrow.... Frustrating!

The nike zoom vomero is the best running shoe I have ever had, hands down.

well obviously its not your internet browser or your computer. have you gotten yourself genotyped to see if you are lacking expression of RGS7 proteins

I'm using IE. Just cleared my cookies. Still can't see it animated in the link, brooklyn. Very possible that my proteins are messed up. I think this verifies that I need a Mac.

I need to talk to my aunt about how much money she can give me.

I was just talking with my mom and she said if my sister gets a full tuition scholarship for undergrad, I could get a lot more money from my aunt. My aunt also believes in moving around a lot, so she might give me enough money to attend VCU without accumulating too much more debt than LSU.
