Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
there are other games with similar premises like Civ3 etc that are more fun though in my opinion

You know, I've never tried the civilization series, I should give them a try before I have to start med school. I like complicated games when it comes to strategy games tho, and ROTK11's tutorial alone is like 5 hours long and it only introduces to you the very basics that you need to know to not get crushed from the start.

my sister did P90x. she's pretty muscular now

yeah i...procured...a copy today. Doing the chest and back tomorrow morning sans pull up bar and buying a pull up bar/the nutritional stuff tomorrow evening. I've got a workout at golds planned for tuesday night, so i'll officially start the program on wednesday morning...

I'm 180 and can't do a pullup, so I'm kind of nervous -- but all my friends who've done it have had great results.

BTW--been watching CSPAN since 2:30. it feels like groundhog day on super repeat...

to both sides of the house: the plural of anecdote is not data

Sweet, the new Discovery Planet Earth documentary - Life starts now. It's so pretty in HD.

love that show!

i wish i could join in on the wii party, but my brother sold his mario kart game because he didn't like it boo. it was my favorite one too! i think i'll buy my own wii before med school (not that i'll have much time to use it😛)

the touchscreen on my phone stopped working🙁 i hope they'll give me a new one when i go to the store tomorrow. the website said something about an exchange if you think it's defective and under a year old, so hopefully they'll take it back.

also, just finished a boatload of laundry yay! i tend to let the pile get ridiculously huge before i do it so it was 6 loads haha. 2 of those were orange and maroon...no one can tell me i don't have school spirit🙂

...i've figured you out. :meanie:

that happened to me at jhu, kind of awkward. we were sitting in the admissions office with all the interviewees within earshot of deans and other assorted important people. someone called me out by my sdn name.

Oh and I did 40 min on elliptical then ran a mile for the second time in my life.

For the love of everything make sure I either don't go to the gym or just do the bike tomorrow or my ankle might rebel again.

I need to get some good running shoes now that I'm active and whatnot. I know there was some talk the other day. Since my sx I have sort of a dropped arch. Any recommendations that are good for that?

wow, so much exercising today!! you go sammich!😀

I've played 1, 3, 4, and 9 before, loved 'em all! 1 was in all Japanese, so I had to play with a translation book right next to me at all times

I guess it helps if you like that period of history, I've read the ROTK books like a billion times in addition to having watched a lot of movies/TV series etc. based on it.

Well, just go ahead and become a mod and you can spot the ninjas too 😀

Well at least it's as directly bad for physicians as the original plans were. If we could only get physicians to grow some backbone we might actually be ok.

Did you not go through the med school application process? We're all Ghandi's, we won't fight

You burn some couches when they scored 147?

(long time no see)

Lol I thought about it, but I didn't hear about it until after the fact cuz I only see them when they're on national TV like tonight.

Damn. I feel a lot worse about burning a night of studying on a game they didn't win. Seems like every time I get to see them they always blow it. This time they even sucked an extra 20 minutes or so because they took it to overtime 🙁

Wow, my Facebook newsfeed is lighting up with the healthcare reform stuff... time to argue I guess! 😱

>100 people viewing the healthcare bill passed thread. 😱

Jags have a lot of problems.

The British have always and will always make crappy cars. I should know, my former boss at the oil lab collects them.

I don't think I've seen a jag since the mid 90's.

They are now owned by Tata Motors, an Indian company. Sort of ironic.

Wow, overall leaders in Yahoo has 43/48 picks correct. Impressive.

wow 117 people in that health care bill thread.

It's good to see that so many people CARE regardless of their opinion of it. At least they're interested in something that will affect the profession 👍

I'm not going to participate in that thread because it's probably going to turn into a spectacle... But I think it's a step in the right direction, personally.

This might be a dumb question but HOW exactly will physicians now receive a big cut in pay/salary?

This seems to be the big point made AGAINST the bill but I've never seen anything actually spelled out on the wages of future physicians.

I think most people are worried about the fact that Medicare/caid cuts are built in, but so is an expansion of these programs to cover more people.

Personally, I'm more worried about how much this thing is going to cost, and how much further in debt our country will be in 10 years because of it.
