me too, but i heard it can degrade pretty suddenly. my ex roommate never needed glasses till he was like 26, i think im headed that way too with me looking under microscopes and stereoscopes all day.

The mint stopped printing them. The were used only for a short while. Keep it, it is actually worth more then 2 dollars. :laugh: I used to have a sheet of uncut 2 dollar bills. It got stolen once. 😡.

My vision was perfect until I hit my growth spurt back in 8th/9th grade. It very very suddenly went bad, and I've needed glasses ever since.

I've only ever had a $2 bill once, and I would carry it around with me in my wallet all the time. One day, I told a homeless person I would give them some change, but the only thing I had in my wallet was that $2 bill. So... I gave it away.

I am pretty set on going to BU. The only thing that would keep me from going is a great fina aid package from Georgetown (which prolly wont happen) and being admitted into Gtowns "Research Honors Program" which promises a year of stipend research with high likely hood of publication. BUt honestly, I AM GOING TO BU!~ Anyway, thanks a bunch.

BU sticks in my mind because when looking at the applicant pools for different schools, I think BU was the largest with something like 11,000 applicants in '09. That's hardcore competition - congrats!!!

So weird that we're almost done.

Speaking of that, I emailed Shreveport asking for an extension for making a decision since I haven't gotten their financial aid package. Their website actually encourages people to do so.

I have not gotten any scholarship yet from Shreveport (my first choice), and Shreveport's double-hold deadline is real soon. Please! ... What should I do? Do I have any options?

The double-holding issue also can often be worked out. Most medical schools, and especially the one in Shreveport, understand the unoffered-scholarship dilemma, especially if our scholarships are still pending. The double-holding rule applies to applicants who hold multiple acceptances without a reasonable explanation. [What'd you expect? Of course, it's the school that decides what's reasonable and not.] So, talk to your first-choice school. If you were waiting for our scholarship offer and would like to double-hold us after our April 15 deadline ... just ask. The answer could well be Yes.
