Yeah, I know it's tough. I feel like our situation is even weirder than most in that it's starting as a LD thing, and will be that way for at least 2 more years if things work out. It's definitely not my favorite part of it but it seems to be OK for now.
 
My LD of almost 3 years now has become my fiancée. It CAN work 🙂

LD does suck but i've seen it work. it will always have some bumps and bruises along the way tho...
 
Oh, and someone talk me off the ledge. My top school that I'm accepted to slapped me in the face with the $60,000 in loans/yr. with $52,000 unsubsidized and their school's private loan at 5-9%, also unsubsidized and accruing interest all four years.

I just signed up for UIC's second-look now. Now I'm really hoping UChicago comes through or I think I'm just going to curl up and look like those characters at the end of Requiem For a Dream.

you know what's weird? i found out during my trip to china last summer that chinese people don't believe in flossing. they were like "flossing the root weakens your teeth" and i was like "yea...that's why you have bad teeth."

I think its good to keep your options open at this point and view all financial aid packages before any final decisions. 60 grand per year is a hard pill to swallow, no matter what school we're taking about.

I personally won't indebt myself any more than necessary. The lowest loan school wins the day for me. Can you call their financial aid office and explain how hard it will be for you to go to their school with that aid package? It never hurts to ask. You can also always consider a certain school for residency if med school isn't financially the best option.

Ugh. It was all in fun. My friends always dare me to do stupid stuff on my birthday. This year I had to get pictures with 20 guys kissing me on the cheek. And kiss the 21st on the lips. I did the task then came to find out that the 21st picture didn't come out so I had to find another. I'm just glad my friend who put said pictures on facebook has her fb on lockdown so like no one can see the pictures.

ksmi that sounds like something I kinda do - my "annual" is to get at least one shot of 2 girls kissing me at the same time. Usually though it's my friends so it isn't that awesome - but still.

Hmm I like this idea - my friends are crazy enough to dare me to do it; but I don't think asking a random girl to kiss me for a dare for my bday would work too well. Then again; I'll never know unless I try. Thanks for the idea!

So is it good fantasy baseball strategy to bench all your pitching if you've met the minimum innings and have an untouchable ERA + WHIP and you're willing to sacrifice Ks. So a 2 for 1 deal? Or is that just a jerk move?

27 isn't old. The usual response from guys is an awkward giggle and then more awkwardness. I'll usually approach a group of guys, because they'll pick one of themselves for me to kiss and make him do it. It's kinda funny how off guard me going up to them and asking someone to kiss me catches guys. Guess it's not your normal everyday occurrence. But it's definitely amusing.
 
Hey msb1190 or anyone who watched tonight's marlins vs mets game: who won?! We were tied at 6-6 for the longest time and the game went to overtime so my TiVo didn't record the end!! It was a really good game.

I'm just getting lucky early with people like freakin' Garrett Jones and Carlos Gonzalez. Makes up for Chone Figgins and Furcal striking out so damn much. I've got like 23Ks from my batters :laugh:

Just trying to hold out until Beltran and Street get off the DL. Then I'll have a real deal closer and Beltran is just sick. Hopefully he plays as well as he did.
