I just find it statistically ridiculous that I didn't get in at either UVa, OSU, Vanderbilt or Baylor. Percentages!

According to my calculations, I had at most a 6% chance of not getting in anywhere last year. Damn percentages 😡

No, my real job at my lab. Which I now have back, I just need to figure out if I will be working less hours or not.

I feel ridiculous that someone posting a Baylor acceptance has made me kind of sad. This is just dumb, I need to start moving forward with my life and just waiting around for something that won't happen - but it's hard.

nah that's not silly at all, i feel the exact same way. especially when people have gotten accepted off the wl at georgetown and i go and check my email and...nothing. i haven't really committed myself to going to the schools i'm accepted at yet because, like you, i'm still hoping to be somewhere else next year. the way i see it is i'm gonna hold on to my hope until after may 15th, then if nothing happens i'll embrace the school i'll most likely be at and try to get myself excited about going there (while probably holding out a small bit of hope in the back of my mind😛)

It's just that going to that LSU meeting last night and seeing everybody there and committing an entire week to their service thingy made everthing seem so final and that my dreams were dead. That combined with this week probably being the last week for Baylor calls until after May 15th.

Well, on the University of Miami thread, someone just said that >50% of the entering class last year was from the waitlist! So, that definitely gives me some hope!

That is the best story I've heard all week.

Ice-T seems like he'd actually be a nice guy. I think he has a good sense of humor about himself. Plus I like how he totally has license to talk smack to anyone on that show. Best little quips ever out of all the characters.
