Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have any of you ever had Roly Poly before? I had it for lunch today, and it was AMAZING.

There's one pretty close to campus, but I've never tried it.

Did you know that doodlebugs (I hate the term roly poly) are crustaceans? Here's a giant one found in the deep sea.

Holy smokes! That's how I would envision a roly poly that has been affected by some sort of crazy toxic waste mutation.

And then Paul Bunyan came and squashed it.

So speaking of weird foods, I went to a wedding when I was in Vietnam a few summers ago and had to eat all kinds of nasty things to be polite.

Apparently I ate chicken feet. I must have blacked out the memory, but my gf says she remembers it.

The scientific term is "isopod" and they actually have some species that parasitize fish and eat their tongues. Once the tongue is eaten, the isopod becomes the fish's tongue by attaching inside the mouth and takes all the food until the fish starves to death.

I don't know what I'm so grossed out by this because I've had pickled pig's feet before.

Yeah, I always figured that the one thing I couldn't do on Fear Factor was eat the wacky stuff they did. Yuck.

yeah me neither. put me in a vat of snakes, fine. bungee jump into a croc pit, fine. make me eat cow's testicles, no thanks, peace out.

Hot off the presses--NFL season opener will be Vikings @ Saints.

Rest of the schedule coming later today.

he's pretty much the prototypical pesky player that i would love if he was on my team and absolutely hate if he wasn't

(see A.J. Pierzynski)

NFC West: 49ers/Cardinals, Seahawks/Rams

i'm convinced any thread with the letters u, r, and m placed adjacent and capitalized in the title is doomed. why do ppl insist on going there? for funsies? call up aamc and ask for yourself, take some initiative people!!

...does this mean the "HEART MURMUR" thread I was planning on creating is doomed to failure? 🙁

geez. Vandy's financial aid is terrible. They just gave me loans for the rest after the 75% tuition scholarship. that made the decision that much easier.

i think at most schools, getting significant merit money usually disqualifies you for a lot of need based awards that you might have otherwise gotten

anyway i'm sure that 75% tuition scholarship will make someone else very happy

undoubtedly and especially if you put in the pre-allo. some one is going to misread it and post some inflammatory response about URM applicants. "What, URM applicants do not all have arrythmias [sic], what are you trying to say??? That we shouldn't even apply because we're not fit to practice medicine???" or possibly, "WHY are URM applicants given preference just for having arrythmias?? So unfair!!!"

do you think that's transferable to a different person and school?
