JJ I hope you didn't trade or drop Mike Napoli because... the angels just found out Jeff Mathis is out for 4-6 weeks with a wrist fracture

Yeah I dropped him a long time ago. He was like 2/11 the first 10 games of the season or something. I needed quick outfielders anyway. Picked up Maybin and Guillen.

Whenever I feel like I might need a power boost, I just start Adam Dunn (at the risk of a lot of Ks).
hahaha I always have trouble figuring out how to start. I have 1-2 stars on offense (Pedroia + Pujols) and the rest are pretty good but really you could interchange them. Bwahh! I need to set my roster for the week and not look at anything so that I stop obsessing over this damn thing.
 
No joke, on our local news they had a special segment on the dangers of eating too much sodium per day. They go on and site all the health risks and have a nutritionist talk about how it can raise bp, etc.

Then came the "equal time", and they had a representative from the "Salt Institute" (verbatim), who said "well, our data shows that the people from places that eat the most salt live the longest, and the people from places that eat the least amount of salt live shorter."

This is why I believe everyone in America needs to be exposed to either statistics or common sense.

you have a boxing trainer? you need to tell me how you got hooked up, I've been looking to get into boxing for awhile but never really knew how to go about it... then again we have practically zero boxing gyms around here.

I dunno about inspirational teams, but I'm definitely on a workout routine and trying to get in better shape so I have more wiggle room when I have less time to exercise in med school :laugh:

boxing is offered as a class at my gym. there is a small but committed group of us that go 3x/week. we are sort of cult-ish; it's awesome. i'm the baby of the bunch-- everyone else is 30 or 40+. and honestly, i thought i was in good shape before i started doing this last year (and i was), but now... it's a whole other story. jumping rope, punching with weights, pushups, crazy ab work, sparring, punching on the bag... my upper AND lower body strength has skyrocketed. my arms look like man arms; they are huge now!

oh and i should add that another 3x/week, i run, do some quick pilates and a bit of lifting. boxing makes that workout feel lame :laugh:

okay, now i'm really going to bed.

I wouldn't doubt it. Have you seen Herschel lately? He's almost 50 and looks about 35 with the body of a 25 year old.

I could NEVER do that. Just saying that Herschel Walker was a beast and never touched weights until midway through college.

i used to do a gizillion sit ups in college and at least a 100 or so everyday after but that slowly faded over the past months!

unfortunately i do an all or none routine of going to the gym everyday and then not at all which is terrible! soo i've decided to do something i can maintain over long periods.. i wish i ran more (like jackson and tats) 🙂

do cycling at first, it's a gateway cardio
 
I've actually been succeeding in my goal of getting heavier (muscle).

that should be my fitness goal (gaining muscles) since according to my last fitness assessment i am borderline "over-fat" 😱
 
if only i had an elliptical at home it would be so easy to maintain that! its my favorite but im usually to lazy to go to the gym for it 😀

I love the elliptical, but I hate going to the school gym b/c there's no parking, the ellipticals are always taken, and I'm the only guy on them. But it helps my knee.
