INCOMMUNICADO!!!!!!!!!!!!! It just wasn't a final unless some decrepit little old lady said that word. and then yelled at a boy for having a hat on. I was never ill enough to warrant a trip to uhs during finals. I had a friend have a stroke during reading period (legit, she couldn't move the left side of her body for a while). She still took the molec. bio final with me at the end of January, even though she was still staying in UHS. 😱

of course, she got a 94 on that test...I remember because I got a 49 🙄

the mention of NSync makes me think of their song "Digital Getdown"...mainly b/c it's just so creepy and I thought it was hilarious when No Strings Attached first dropped.

Well, when in July makes a big difference. I wouldn't mind starting at the end of July, but doesn't Case start on the 10th or something?

yeah, it's like 1 week into July. but all we do for the first 4-5 weeks is get all the behavioral science, biostats, and "intro to being a doctor" stuff out of the way. we also start anatomy I believe. either way, I feel like the first block is going to drag on forever, but maybe it'll just acclimate me into the med school mindset.

I am really excited to start. And because of co-ops I haven't had a summer vaca in 4 years so it won't really be any big loss for me.
 
The gf finds out whether she got the Fulbright today.:xf:

I'll be so excited, but man, Singapore is about as far away from New York as you can get.

The school had a list of projects and I emailed the PIs of all the ones I thought looked cool and set up interviews. Summer research is so big now that most schools should have some sort of formal summer research program. I know some people that had a really particular interest contacted PIs outside of the list to set something up as well.

There's also some at other schools/institutions you can apply for.

Kid in my mom's elementary school class got MRSA and the principal told her to "keep it under wraps, we don't want a panic here." 😱 I told her that's ridiculous and she needs to tell someone. WTF.

and sorry 'bout the trade bb, I'm going to see how Hanley's shaping up because I had to give away Pedroia + Pujols as part of the trade. Plus, I'm feeling pretty good about pitching right now (except for Vazquez who is pretty much just warming the bench). Any interest in Hunter for some kind of pitching or are you stacked in the OF?


EDIT: or the other trade I proposed, lol
