Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
so ive been trying to learn how to cook before i start med school (As now i cant even make a sandwhich or an egg right)...and somehow i just failed at boiling noodles....they are all messed up and kinda gross 🙁.......

when my wife doesnt cook i either go out to eat, but thats getting so expensive so i just like dont eat or eat something frozen lol its sad.

qft. So many people make this mistake. I mean married couples barely make it through this process, so how will two people who are barely committed do it. But to each their own 🙂

 this initially confused me since you quoted something from after your original post but yeah i see you guys' point. we've been together for 3 years and we've talked about getting married, but honestly he's so young and i don't blame him for not wanting that right now. will he ever want it? i think so, but who knows

yo brohammers. we got a respectable skool list goin hareeeeee

i think unless you're engaged/married/committed to starting a family together, a significant other should not be a factor. too many variables with your future profession.

she did say they have a special history, so who knows.

tough call. he's got 2 years left? maybe you could try long distance and if things are still goin on he could try to do whatever down there after he graduates

wow. i'm leaving that because it's hilarious, but it sounds so very wrong. what i actually meant was that maybe he'd be into moving to NC for school/work after he graduates. whoa.

 freudian slip

his job prospects are probably better in boston, though.

Maybe the water wasn't hot enough?

Hey all, things have been kinda rough here on the school front, exams + drama = no fun, but the exams part will be over in a few days! Is everyone all deciding where they're goin now?

do we have to go through the same finaid forms every year? :annoyed:

yup, i just asked that today actually, and the finaid person from Case told me so.

agreed. and i don't understand why schools can't be more open about it... i'd withdraw from columbia right now if i knew my chances weren't good. and i'd feel a lot better being 100% committed to sinai.

i think it's because it's not completely ranked. composition of a class matters, so if say a white female in-state student withdraws, they'll try to get another white female in-state person from the WL. it's 1) difficult to rank, and 2) not all that PC to reveal it.

and nice freudian slip on the other post

Hahaha but he's got red hair so it works

You two are like skittles

yap still deciding but at least its narrowed down to only 2-3 schools at this point. Cant wait to start. 🙂. Are people freaking out because of what happened at UW or is it not a big deal?

Since I'm getting $0 from Penn, I guess I should look into those loans now. ugh. I'm going to be crying myself to sleep tonight 🙁

dont let 3 years fool you into thinking "it's been 3 years, it has to go somewhere, right?" You can comfortably start over after 3 years...after all, this is the rest of your life we're talking about. if he wants to make it work while you're at duke, he can do it.

you also have to think, would he stay in boston for you if the roles were reversed? or just be like, "I'm going to school X, you can choose to follow/stay with me or not."

i think they hired a stripper for their formal or something?

why didn't i apply there

lol it was something like this. They had a formal ball i guess and somehow someone hired a stripper in the backroom or something. I thought i was going to withdraw my acceptance here, but now i wonder...:meanie:. At least i know my class will probably be pretty sweet if i go here😛

"He says what happened is not consistent with the values of the school or the medical profession."

Who is he kidding, we're all going into this profession so we can have the money for all the strippers and ****** we want
haha...imagine that personal statement. I want to become a doctor as i have heard in rad onc i could make 500k+. That would make it pretty easy to make it rain, which has always been a personal goal of mine...

dammit; guess I should've applied to UW.

I tend to do a lot of stupid things (not intentionally... usually) - but even i'm not THIS stupid  But have to give props to the guy who had the courage to set this up

It would be funnier if it were true 🙁 But unfortunately it seems like we are drifting farther and farther away from the golden days (not of money for strippers, but rather money for super hot cars and helicopters!)

But as long as it gets the chicks; I'm still ok with it 😎

though about all that. COL davis is cheaper barring scholarships. havnt got fin aid packages from either. But cost i dont think will matter in the end as its the same. kid is starting kindergarten next year...its somewhat hard for her to find a job. She just tells me do what i think is best...its like great that doesnt help me at all haha...

If your kid is that young moving won't be so bad for him.

I don't know about your wife's work.

Is this the individual schools or something?

I haven't sent in any tax return forms. :scared:

oy, i forgot about the possibility of having to get immunization records. i hope my undergrad has them on file, because lord knows i am not in touch with my pediatrician's office anymore...

Dang, forgot about that. I will probably just get all of them again because I doubt I can find that stuff.

 Put it in the hobbies section too:

Nah dude, we're just slowly moving on to more expensive ******(aka trophy wives). Just remember, it's legal if you take her out for dinner!

haha dingi...im surprised you havnt been warned or something yet:laugh:. but you speak the truth 😛

I feel like I should be muy :annoyed: at all of the above, but I gotta leave for class now. :d Imma be back later tonight!

hah well, i'm not harassing anybody(except perhaps the aspiring trophy wives on this thread 😏), and i assume sdn will ***** out any word it deems inappropriate!

We need to resurrect the golden era: strippers in helicopters!

Haha dingy ur awesome. That's for reinvigorating my hopes for a good looking future (good looking - get it? har har)

we're all gonna be ballers with many good looking futures 😉

combine your extreme optimism with my complete lack of fear and penchant for doing stupid things...

we might just pull this off

LEZ DO THIS!

Step 1: become a doctor
Step 3: Get rich
Step 5: Get really hot chicks on your arm.

Can you fill in the ones I'm missing dingy? 😀

Well the LSU fin aid website says I just need the FAFSA, MPN, and entrance counseling.

VCU says they "may ask for tax returns", but they're kind of complicated - they want a credit report. They also want immunization records sent in by May 14th - :wtf:

😱 thanks for reminding me..

expensive hot international chick vs cheap hoodrat that i'm not completely in love with

seriously? is that why you're going to med school?!! :uhno: :slap:

long distance never works.
