I hate unorganization. So I had the option of going to this LSU celebration at the state capitol tomorrow with the band, and I wasn't going to go. But I just found out that I have to be there because of my fellowship, so now I'm gonna do the band stuff too, but that means I'm missing all of my classes tomorrow and didn't talk to anyone to get the notes. Rah! Also, I'll be wandering around the LA Senate chambers in a very purple and sequiny monstrosity. This should be interesting.

The plan: We all go into orthopedics, and some of us also get MBAs. We open a very efficient group practice - more like a knee and hip replacement factory. We retire 15 years later and make every night a pantsless drinking night.

Oh, one or two of us might also want to become lobbyists for the fast food industry.

You know... I thought it was weird too that they said all nonchalantly that the only thing that could go wrong was that the experiment just didn't work. And I was just thinking that really, what they mean, is that it wouldn't work according to plan (and that could, in fact, be a very scary thing).

Haha, that would be so awesome!! And let me see... The last love letter I sent them was on April 15th. Think it's time for another one? :laugh: I mean, I say this kinda jokingly but kinda seriously too.

And I definitely think you can send another. I've always had the 'what's the worst that can happen' mentality towards them.

Hey Stoney, maybe this will help...I got it from the Harvard OCS website:

Communicating with Schools
• FAQs about sending additional interest or update letters:
  • How many? Several are fine but not weekly!
  • When to send? When you have new information (e.g. grades, experiences, etc.) to share; in addition, one letter in May around the time that waitlists are being reviewed
  • What to say? Specifically what continues to interest you in the school and any updates
  • How much to write? Keep it short
  • Additional recommendation letters? Not necessary but fine to do.
  • Mail or email? Either is fine
