LSU has 3 electives during the 4th year. Is that low? It just seems like not very many if you want to specialize outside the core curriculum. It also seems other schools have electives almost the entire 4th year.

It sounds low. As far as I know we only have to do a sub-I and take a basic science class and then the rest are electives.

you got me curious met-penn state has 2 electives 3rd year and 4 electives 4th year. that seems pretty decent. they also get 3 months of vacation 4th year! (maybe that's normal? i don't really know)

well i think it's legit to want more elective time. i definitely like the schools with more electives so you have more control over what you do/more opportunities to explore different options. but is that worth the 100k plus to go to vcu over lsu? probably not?

That is the question, right? Is it worth it - you're right, probably not.

That just really bugs me. You combine that with the same people as undergrad, the crappy computer you pay $2000 for and non-recorded lectures - the little stuff starts to add up.

deferred meaning no interest for those 3 years post graduation?

that's pretty sweet, if you had a 15k loan from another source (with probably a higher interest rate, too), it'd be almost 8k larger after 7 years.
