well, i went to a small LAC that i wouldn't have been able to afford without the full ride they gave me. i'm immensely thankful, so i donate what i can back to them. plus we have the option of choosing where our donation will go, and i always pick financial aid.
 
I will donate to my med school!

I looked at my full ride as a contract. I got a huge GPA to drag up their average, they gave me $$$.

I would consider giving money to scholarship funds that aren't school affiliated, I haven't really thought about it though. I'll donate to SDN this summer/fall and that's all my donating until I have my MD.

yeah, i guess we're just different. i looked at my full ride as an incredible opportunity to break out of the tiny, tiny box that most of my high school classmates are still living in.

I havent gotten my fin aid packages from either yet soo my rammblings are moot.

Georgetown versus BUSM is a toughie. I had a weird moment with one person from BU but am not going to judge the other zillion people I met who were awesome based on that. So I am still leaning mostly to BU!!

After the second look this Saturday they are taking us to this place VIP:

But Georgetown has a nicer name. And was ranked higher by residency directors. Not sure what that really means.

So yeah.... Waiting on fin aid. Still in love with BU besides one poor experience. So we shall see. lol Sorry for the long winded answer.

BLOWING OFFFFF??????? WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN!!!! I never got a phone call! 😱 OK, it is both our faults! :laugh:

I have since redirected my annoyance to a single person and not contributing their personality to the whole school. Because aside from that one conversation I really liked everyone. And I was inebriated but SO WERE YOU!!!

haha no worries. i just get defensive because i LOVED barnard and chose it over columbia for a bajillion reasons. so when i get the opportunity, i'm always like, "i didn't go to CC!!!!"

looks like there is a push for MLB to move its all star game away from Arizona (because of the immigration law) to somewhere else.

NFL moved the Superbowl from Phoenix in 1993 after Arizona refused to acknowledge MLK day as a holiday (which they later overturned, and then also got a superbowl in 1996)
 
racial profiling is so lame, i cant even drive to canada without getting pulled over for document checks...pre 9/11 too

If these boycotts actually catch on it's bad news for AZ. They get a lot of their money from tourism.

Are you middle eastern? Going to Canada and going to an airport is just hell. Even when I'm clean shaven.
