No, most of their premium content I can get through my broker or elsewhere (can't get the research reports but I already get the S&P and Reuters ones through Scottrade). so I stick with their free stuff.

id bet that blue would pick OSU too


i think i would pick OSU over miami and case, but i liked columbus a lot and i would totally fit in within a huge campus (= not going to class at all)

I've got Etymotic ER6is which are no Ultimate Ears but still quality.

I'd kill for some UEs. This kid I met at a summer program who was super rich had the custom fit UEs, ridiculous 😱
 
i'm pretty happy with my Equation headset, i've dropped it on the wooden floor soooo many times over the past year and half and it still works perfectly. sounds awesome too.

I need some nice headphones. I use the $20 Sony wrap around ear bud things, and they crap out on me about once a year, so I get new ones. The last time it was on a flight. 👎

It's pretty sweet. I'm not an audiophile, so I don't care too much for a neutral sound, I find audiophile favs like the Sony MDR-V600 to be way too lacking in bass and sybilic sounding with the trebles(the ear-scratching sssssss when someone sings s). It's bass is nice and tight, not like those stupid "skullcrushers", and I find the mids and highs to be pretty damn clear too.

If you wanna get high quality earbuds, the etymotics, shures, and the UE's are all pretty good. If your ear isn't too discerning, the Sony EX71 fontopias are pretty good too for the price(~40 bucks these days).

yea i'm in my own world when i put those bad boys on :laugh: best headset i've owned so far. i have a feeling that i would probably like it much better than the much more expensive ones like the high end Sennheisers or something.

i haven't had a pair of earbuds since i lost my sony's, i'll prolly have to get a new pair at some point of time.

I love these because they actually go in-ear, and snugly, too. Don't even feel them after they're in!

lol yea, especially the in ear canal ones i've suggested you. i think most mainstream users would like the equation rp-22x's or the sony mdr-v600's.

the in ear canal ones? those can be pretty bad, but the sony fontopias aren't in ears, they're regular earbuds and they're fairly comfortable. the IEC ones take a while to get used to, i think.

is it weird that i have owned most of the headphones that you guys have talked about. i have went through about 30-50 pairs of earphones in the last 5 years.

if you are looking for UE headphones (which are owned by logitech), amazon always has an online black friday sale on them. 2 years ago, i got the 3s for $50, 6 months ago i got the 10s for $100. its actually on sale for $240 on amazon now. the new logitech version should be coming out soon for $500-$600 (i wouldn't spend that much).

i use earphones a lot because of the gym and mobility. unfortunately, UEs have weak ass cords so they break easy. its hard to pay so much attention taking care of them. I used to use V-moda ones for general use (they aren't that bad) but they broke too.

One thing I learned - never get store warranty for headphones, they are useless and they never honor it.

I think at least UE's have replacement cable's for $20 that are pretty good, so I can fix that **** easy. thank God
 
if you have a record store going out of business... or a Target, you can get Shure (probably the E2Cs) pretty cheapo

so what would you recommend on a budget <$150??
 
Sennheister CX300 (my most popular **** it, it broke headphones) < $30, sometimes $12-15. sometimes skull kandy is in that range. V-Moda if you like bass (its actually not bad, but it is def bass heavy)

Shure E2Cs and Etymotic regular ones are always under $75 and they are great.

I would get the Sennheiser ones because they are great for portability and are always a good fit. I would then wait for the Triple Fi 10s to go under $100 (or the new UEs) around late this year. They will def go under $100, they actually went down to $50 with rebate last year. pretty sick deal. you won't look back (even though they are light on bass) because of the cable replacement feature.
