Class of 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.

yeah i was too. my family really helped me get some perspective this weekend. its magical when an outside person can see things in a different light than yourself. having a decision to make is the best dilemma to be in. looking at my choices, none of them are bad. its just a matter making sure i am happy where ever i go. i decided that i will bring my own sunshine so i will be happy where ever. resign yourself to make the decision - rip it like bandaid. it feels oh so good on the other side of the decision.

there's always prestudying! :meanie:

ha. that is the exact opposite of what my brain is doing this summer.

good morning peeps!

tis the week of decisions.

what? you haven't decided? if you're still holding multiple spots it's like killing babies AND puppies all at once because the people on waitlists have been waiting for SO long

man, ever since October, every time someone asked me where I was going to med school, I always told them "ehhh ask me again mid-May"

it seemed so far away at the time..

A friend pointed out the similarities -- I can kind of see the resemblance, but it's cousins at best...

lolz. i know, i am a horrible human being for holding my spots 😉

picked school based on best fin aid when all else was equal. will leave it at that. reduced waitlists spots to 2 schools that i care most about.

i know! i said, ask me mid-oct, then dec, then it became in may. never ending saga.

GL. 👍

Ron Paul for president.

I've traveled a little in Asia and have a little part-time job and a volunteering thing, but other than that pretty much wasting my life.
Just playing video games, watching movies, working out at the gym, eating food, sleeping, and being super bored.

👍

Nah, they look like twins!

👍

i went home this weekend too and was reminded again about how awesome my family is

also does that mean you're leaving california? that's the true :scared: (jk. sorta.)

seriously. no empathy. how could you even THINK that you'd make a good doctor?

eh. i meant it more a more metaphorical, touchy feely way.

gotta have the list on this page :biglove:

Decided:
Bleargh (Princeton Med)
Sentinel (UPenn)

Wait, there's a princeton medical school? 😕 I thought princeton didn't have a med school...

Phone call with the dean today. :scared:

👍 You can do this! And gj on keeping up w/ p90x so far btw. remember to keep BRINGing IT!

👍 Definitely the right way to think about it!

ummmm...the essence of bleargh escapes you. its alright.

although on second thought, it'd be pretty sweet if you could literally bottle up sunshine and take it with you to med school

its my next pub, look for it in Nature.

I am at work, so no. But, I did hear some commentary on NPR on my way to work this morning.

should be interesting. 3rd woman on the court, 2nd Obama has nominated. making good on the promise to shake up the court. she would replace Stevens, who was a repub nominee but ended up liberal. solicitor general right now. all the articles basically say the same history for her. democratic majority in senate means that she will most likely be it unless people start swing voting the other way. stay tuned...

Yea, I'm gonna try a travel agent or something, but I doubt they'll be able to shave off much from that price. I'm thinking about just traveling a bit inside the country now, which shouldn't be too bad either 🙂 BTW, when do you plan to cross it off?

hopefully next summer 🙂

yea dude, princeton deemed bleargh so exceptional that they're founding a med school just for him, starting 2015

The Republicans are not going to like that she she didn't want military recruiters on campus while she was the Dean because of their Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. Can't say I disagree with her. I need to read more about her though before I formulate an informed opinion.

it's a part of their new center for excellence and reading good while being ridiculously good looking

I haven't read much on her, is she more of a moderate or a liberal?

but great access to experimental therapies

edit: only blobfish is cool enough to quote himself and reply

heh I should've read who was going to Princeton Med. It makes a bit more sense now

exactly!

i'm adding this to my list of random day projects/things to do when bored in the summer:
http://lifehacker.com/5315357/create-your-own-sun-jar-lifehacker-edition

lol, let us know how it goes. and once my article drops, all will be enlightened as i actually perfect the steps to bottling the real sun power. can't give details, don't want to tip someone else off...:ninja: (paranoid scientist)

so i partied with some UFCOM students last weekend, they're really not as intense and gunnerish as ppl say lol. they ARE competitive tho, and I learned that in med school, flip cup is not a game, it's a war

this is probably the most news-worthy piece of info. i agree, i need to read more as well.

teaches such important concepts as: moisture is the essence of wetness, and wetness is the essence of beauty.

depends on who you read. she has kept a tight lip about hot button issues. she has been quoted as agreeing w/ the bush/cheney war of terrorism blueprint but not sure about the whole story.

we hope to leverage our relative proximity to west virginia to investigate cures for black lung disease.

there is a great need - very underserved population.

i got the black lung, pop. *cough*

the public health program will also raise awareness about the catastrophic tragedies that can be caused by freak gasoline fight fire accidents, from which even really ridiculously good looking people are not spared.

you could probably start educating kids in preschool or earlier. after all, models are born, not made.

besides, i read a conspiracy theory that models have been assassinated for the last 200 years. apparently people are jealous that they are so ridiculously good looking.

she and every other dean on campus...🙄

dangerous. we've seen what happens when models and world leaders share a stage

very true. hmmm you just might have to keep this an underground movement. have charity runway walk-offs and such.
