Hey man, every great player still needs a solid team behind him to win championships. Lebron has just not had that.

Lebron has a decent team behind him. He has no real #2 but they should have enough to come out of the east at the very least. Its kinda sad cavs losing again. Mayve lebron just doesnt have it in him. He rarely seem to perform when its needed most.

yo drizz

At least the pop-ups I'm getting on my computer are quality ones like freescore.com and netflix. I could always have sketchier pop-ups.

I think this virus is running the lysogenic cycle right now.

Not really though. When you compare his team to any of the other teams that when championships, even with stars like Jordan and Kobe, his team sucks IMO.

👍 I agree with this.

The Cavs seem to be a team built for the regular season and not the playoffs, even though they added playoff types this past season.

Lebron just seems to be incapable of performing in the clutch like others can. He has some gems, but in the last couple of years when things have been expected of the team they have gone nowhere.

In 2007, when they magically reached the finals against the Spurs, they weren't supposed to do that. Nobody expected them to beat the Pistons. After that, it's just been playoff dud after dud.

sucks is wayyy to strong but i see your point. In the nba the formula usually is pretty simple, good role players around 2 superstars and 1 above average player. Lebron has it all but the sidekick superstar. Lebron needs to just bounce out of cleveland, what they have there will never work and they really dont have the money to do anything else. Shaq, mo, and jamison are all guys you would want on your team btu at this stage they are good roleplayers and thats all. No real 2nd option if lebron is off.

well, i think he just had an off day and they didn't defend the boston front line well. but oh wait, antawn is a terrible defender. they should have known

Jamison and Williams have basically disappeared, too. Why aren't they playing Big Z more? I've rarely seen him.

Shaq is pulling his own, surprisingly. So is Anthony Parker.

agreed

I kinda disagree.

Example?

How well was Shaq playing when the Heat won the championship? Or did Wade pretty much win that one by himself, I can't remember.

From what I remember he wasn't in his prime, along with Alonzo Mourning (I'm probably spelling that wrong), but he was a heck of a lot better than he is now. I will be forever grateful for that championship. Not because I like the Heat, but because my fav player of all time got his ring; Gary Payton.

shaq played better then this, but he wasnt like dominanting like in his laker years. Wade basically just manned up like he does every night and dominated. One thing to remember is during that year, there was no real good team in the NBA. Lakers were down and had nothing besides a selfish kobe. I mean they beat the mavericks, im not sure it should count if you have to beat such a crap team for the championship :laugh:. But nonetheless he at least did his part, which is a hell of a lot more then you can say for lebron at this moment. but seriously the mavericks............

there are a few contract hogging players that will never win a championship and destroy a team if they are given a long term deal

jamison
iguodala
brand
j. johnson
boozer
jr smith
monta ellis
t.mac
arenas
y. ming

i left amare out because he is balling. noah will end up on this list as well as some blazer player when they redo their contracts

NBA has become pretty much about # of years left on contract, $ per year, trade-ability, injury proneness

MLB has an extensive firm system + profit sharing. so it has really become 1. scouting 2. firm 3. releasing expensive players 4. cutting payroll as much as possible 5. benefit from profit sharing (yankees/phillies/redsox/dodgers $)

the marlins actually have the best profit margins, when you dont take local media and tv contracts into account

My point was mainly that professional sports in general has become ludicrous in terms of $, and it is not = talent for the most part IMO.

lol i hope lebron isnt so stupid as to sign with the knicks, if he is he deserves all this failure and the failure that will be his career.

Definitely. I won't be a Lebron fan anymore if he signs with the Knicks. It would mean that he is ******* and all about the marketing/exposure/money.

Lebron should either stay in Cleveland or go to Miami.

Wow, it's already 12:30 and I am so far away from actually knowing anything for this final.

At least I am guaranteed a C. Let me check the syllabus to make sure I don't have to actually pass the final...

Anyone know how setting your roster for a postponed game works? I want to start a player for the first game, but not the second, is that possible? I'm ticked that the game was postponed because the first SP has an ERA around 9 while the second is much much better.

i dont think so, its on a daily basis rather than a by game

I duno. Partly because I don't really like Lebron so I just want to be able to root against him and a NY team at the same time. 😀

Nobody has posted in the AMCAS questions thread in 6 hours. 😱

Maybe they listened to my "make an executive decision" advice.

BTW, thanks for helping answer questions in there. I am gonna do a mini-FAQ on the second post in there. If you think there are any good/common questions to add to it, let me know.

Yeah I don't know that it's possible. Sucks when you don't see it beforehand also and can't swap them out (I mean technically, their game hasn't started...).

I might have to pull an all-nighter tonight. 🙁

It's 1am and I don't know anything, plus my little note sheet (which I am completely relying on) isn't even halfway full yet.
