if it sounds too good to be true it probably is -- I live about a mile from there -- it's not very metro accessible (3/4 of a mile or so away -- sucks late at night) but it's pretty new -- I don't believe the ~950 figure for a second as most 1bd/1ba places i saw in NoVA started at 14. I have one friend living about 3/4 miles from Union Station who pays 500 a month for a room in a 5 bd/2 ba rowhouse. Everyone else lives w/ roommates and pays 800-1300 or lives alone and pays 1400+. i'm in a 3bd/2ba w/ 2 other people in the former price range myself.

God Bless my on-campus housing and its associated $500 rent 😍. Maybe I'll actually get savings in grad school 🙄 :laugh:. Moving in in 15 days!!!!

I just think it's weird how quickly med school is becoming the new reality. I think once white coat ceremony hits, everything else is going to fade into the background. Undergrad will just be another set of memories. Life goes by way too fast. :scared:

padmapper is a great resource. i thought GW had subsidized housing in foggy? I'd say anything on the blue/orange within 6 stops of foggy would be ideal -- if you're willing to travel a bit further to campus i'd suggest crystal city for cheaper housing options--it's about a 15 minute commute from foggy I'd estimate. the downside is that the nightlife there is practically non-existent with the exception of the crystal city sports pub. but its only a few stops from gallery place off the yellow line.

Thanks caniac. I'll definitely keep that in mind! I've just gotta wrap some stuff up here then look into visiting up there.

I went to Rock on The Range up here in the cbus last weekend. Puddle of Mudd and Papa Roach were pretty sweet live.

I must say, Deftones was one of my favorite bands and they SUCK live. Totally disappointing....

boo no fun. that used to be my drive to undergrad-i highly recommend making a playlist you can sing along to then singing at the top of your lungs😛 then when that gets boring, call everyone on your phone and make them talk to you!

I guess I really shouldn't be talking though. My drive to Miami will be 13 hours, but I will at least have someone caravaning with me for the drive.

And I'm not going to see quite a few of my friends for the next 4+ years 🙁 Oh well; not like I've got much choice in the matter. It's going to be the same for quite a few of us headed off to med school; I'm just facing the reality of it 😀
 
haha, yeah it's insane.

Next week is orientation, so it will be long and sucky. Anatomy starts off the 7th.
