So tired. I'm going to sleep in like 10 minutes.

My new apartment is going to be awesome. Getting cable/internet on Friday, so I might move in for good Thursday night.

It's so empty, though. We need rugs and furniture because it is loud as hell right now. :laugh: Also need to figure out if the roomy is buying a TV for the living room. He said he would, but it would really complicate things if he didn't.

On another note:

I decided against a tablet, since I can do pretty much anything I could want with One Note. Now I just have to decide on 1366x768 versus 1920x1080 for my 15.6" monitor. The 768 is somewhat standard, but I'm worried about losing the vertical real estate (my desktop set-up isn't even wide screen 😎). The 1080 will give me more room to play, but I'm a bit concerned everything will be tiny. Anyone else run a 15.6" at 1080?

no real clue, but i think 1080 will be nicer

It only lasted 12 minutes today. Time to limp to the ibuprofen bottle :idea:
 
Day two, go!

Today is going to be super mega tedious. But at least I get my new computer and fancy shmancy FSU backpack!

Getting a late start today actually 🙁 Too much catching up to do after 6 flags yesterday. But now; time to start my kenpo!

Btw sammi; I'm sad that you aren't dropping huge pearls of wisdom on us yet. Get to it! But enjoy the second day of classes 😀 Are the kids there super awesome?

I have a love hate relationship w/ the kenpo video. The pacing of it makes it weird for me to keep my heart rate up and in the zone (well because I need to take breaks in between). But mostly because I look at their form when they do the marital arts moves and it makes me want to cry. I've done martial arts for 10+ years, 4 different styles; and looking at the way they throw their kicks etc. I'm like... dude that's not self defense - that's asking for someone to grab your leg and punch you in the groin :meanie:

But the part that I love about it? I can do all the moves 😀

That was some awesome sleep. I think every muscle in my body is sore. Today will be some relaxation with some light moving of guitars and stuff.

by preference, she's going to be there for the first half of the year.

also she'll be back in subsequent years, so might as well move into a place we can stay for all 4 years. i'm stoked that i won't have to move again for 4 years.

Transferring energy accounts takes way longer than it should. How am I supposed to know the previous tenant's social? I also love how they are going to charge me a connection fee when all they are going to do is go out there and read the meter after switching the account to my name. Le sigh...

Iirc, I think we still get white coats our first year. We are supposed to borrow them from
our big brother/sister for the first year and then we get our own beginning of second. Some kind of tradition thing.

I could be making this up. Or mishearing the l2s

I went to a few stores to see if any had a 15.6" at 1920x1080 and couldn't find a single machine. One was set at 1600x900, and there was quite a bit more space to work with, but things were a bit tiny. I think the 1920x1080 would be overkill. Now to figure out how to run it on an external 1280x1020 without my desktop rearranging...


In other news: If some punk kids, or anyone really, adds the letters B and R to the back of a ONE dollar bill with black permanent marker, some vending machines may not accept the dollar. Probably because it's obscene.

thanks for the shout out!

this process is difficult and most of us are going at it in the dark. a little light helps. i just hope that people keep using their own noggin and common sense isn't a thing of the past.
