wait so leasing agent-did you go through one of those people that find a place for you then you pay them first months rent? my friend did that, the person found them a pretty sweet place they never would have found otherwise.

after seeing some more angles, i think it was a pretty clear offside. i actually thought that save looked more dubious.

Hmmm actually he just turned 19 last week (I think that takes me out of the cougar range)
not sure if anything can excuse the screaming baby piggies though. lol
haha unfortunately...he is also a runner (and a faster one at that but its ok because I can run way longer than him...just need a head start I guess lol)
 
OK. I'm REALLY nervous again. It seems that after signing a lease my future roommate hasn't responded to any of my messages. I've been reading about gunners, 3rd year woes, and 1st year being crappy as hell. -_-

oh no that's awful🙁 do you think she's backing out? that'd be pretty crappy to just stop responding instead of telling you. it'd probably be pretty easy to find a new one on your class facebook page or something, but that still sucks a lot.

regarding the rest of it, i think we all feel that way! i think there's a fair share of negative opinions about any school/med school in general but i'm just trying to ignore those. i figure it's like the restaurant where i work-we get wayy more complaints than compliments even though the majority of customers have a good dining experience. those with negative opinions are way more likely to speak up, so just try and focus on the positive things people say🙂 anyways, i'm sure it'll be tough and overwhelming at times but we'll all make it through just fine!

Oh noooooo. She's signed the lease too...so I doubt she's backing out. But I am a bit worried that she's already stopped responding to me. I'm hoping that maybe she's just busy.

No - this guy is w/ the real estate people who own the property. So i'll be signing the lease w/ him. I had a couple of realtors who were looking for places for me... but they sucked.

yea finding roommates is a pain. I've got one locked in... but she just left for europe which is going to delay lease signing. Third roommate has to send in his app and everything. ugh. Why am I the one that was voted to take care of all this coordination?!

I'm not worried about medical school... I'm just really really excited about it!! Now, I am worried about finding a place to live... I think I'm going to drive down to Miami next week to figure it all out.

yea that seems to be the worst of it for most people. I think pretty much all of us can't wait to start med school. We are the true masochists who love this kind of stuff 👍

L your bf still going to move in w/ you? Bec that'll make finding a place a LOT easier

lol i don't think so. i have some friends any hour or two away, but only one that actually lives in the city so i think sdn will be a great support system til we get settled with new friends. also, we'll have to hang out whenever we're not too busy🙂

good luck! i agree that finding a place to live was stressing me out way more than the thought of starting school til i found an apt. i'm a little nervous to start, but mostly super excited-for school, meeting new people, and living in the city🙂
