Class of 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
A very good friend got a new job and it is a really big deal, so celebratory dinner + Lakers game which took about 4 hours of my life. Very happy I went, no regrets, but still.

Then...uh....I went bowling😉 (rHinO1 will likely be the only one who gets this)

Congrats on submitting bleargh and almost submitting Jersey!

haha hope you kept your game tight. If you met another guy at the bowling alley then I'm going to start picking up on girls there too 🙂.

A nurse I work with was telling me that this guy saw her looking confused inside home depot... then offered to help if she'd go get coffee with him. I've used that one before successfully too haha.

I did miss your post, sorry, Bleargh!

Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot? Why the FOOT!?!?
Patient did have awful venous access....but the worst part was when I remarked that we would need to secure more appropriate access (either via PICC or central line). She basically flipped her lid. ugh. llamadrama.

I dont want to be debbie downer, lol, its just been a long 32 hours. I need a nap.

oh, and lets go Flyers!!!

Ugh, I'm sorry.

The only reason I could think was pisspoor IV access, but I don't think I ever saw a patient with a line in their foot.

I was just doing my LOR assignments on AMCAS (finally got my last LOR) and then AMCAS crashed and didn't save any of my assignments... Silly AMCAS. (not a big deal)

Haha, at least you weren't one of the people trying to submit while AMCAS was having all those credit card issues. You couldn't pay me enough money to field those calls from anxious pre-med students.

hell yeah!! feels good! Congrats 🙂

i know haha im going to go out tonight and start summer off the right way

.....until summerschool starts at least haha

....and still not verified wtffff how many people submitted in 2 days before me lol

lol, I submitted on the 2nd and I've been "under review" for two days!

And congrats on being done!

It's all good though, you're both still going to be early. If you're verified by the 25th then you will be just as early as everyone else verified day #1. Even if it is after the 25th that is still very early 👍

Put that thought out of your head. You submitted and now it is time to have positive thoughts only. Be confident... not a limp d__k

Just target your schools well and you're going to be rolling in the accptances with a ton of awesome options. Soon enough it will be Dr. BigBaller 👍

quote it for truth!! 🙂

lol that would have been funny but it was on the top of the head iirc

finally free for the summerrrrrrr

Nice! And I'm taking summer school too, but only 4 weeks worth. It's still raining and cool in Portland, so it's hard to believe it's actually summer. Gotta love the pacific northwest.

 Rude! Actually summers are usually super nice, this year's is just taking it's time to get here. But that's why it's so green and plantiful here (yes I just made that word up).

a "bunch" for us in so cal is probably equal to what 2 weeks in portland?

Anyone ever live in seattle? Lately ive been trying to think of other places id like to live since i dont want to be in cali after med school likely. I visited seattle once it seemed nice but just curious. The only bad thing about seattle i can think of is that the major med school there and where most people want to do residency is univ of washington....which is not only like a top ten med school/hospital, but its also basically number 1 in IM and other residencies that i will likely be in...

poor Duckgirl... if it makes you feel better, outside of CA I'd be thrilled to be at OHSU for med school.

what up 2015?!!!!

Just got back from an awesome game of Tennis!

pspaegttajmafe [pretty soon people aren't even going to type anymore. just make acronyms for everything]

didn't you know what that stood for? CMON
lol i had to google it a while back i didnt even know. Everyday i find some new **** that im like wtf is this😕😕. 30 years from now your kids will be writing their personal statements in only acronyms 😉

haha i'm the same way...i catch myself doing it too sometimes but i try to type stuff out...it is only like 4 more keys to press

 nice use of an acronym to express exasperation at acronyms. very meta

@elijah

well, you would be able to develop a much more thorough personal statement if you only used acronyms. Each word would become one letter->1 character

that's genius...except no one will know what the hell anyone is talking about lol

haha, well, it'll sort of be like memorizing Chinese characters. Kids will take an "acronymology" class that will force them to memorize thousands of acronyms.

imagine if secondary applications were in code. and whoever could crack the code got accepted

lolol...i can only imagine how an adcom would take to reading a PS like that...i'm so amused

 I would totally suck at that.

Better yet, imagine if there was a "medical school auction" every year where you got to bid for a seat in medical school.

hmmm...do you think an adcom would be impressed if you wrote a PS that was a palindrome?

we should write it in ATGC.. the words are spelled out by the one letter code of the amino acids..

i think if someone could pull that off they should be automatically admitted

So true! lol..you could just submit your genome. Most accurate personal statement ever!

I would reject both of these applicants based on meeting the criteria of "too big of a nerd":laugh:
