2 hour workout Saturday + 14 hours at The Park Sunday + 2 hour workout today = sore sore sore body🙁

Also....SO pissed I didn't take calculus before EVERYTHING else, and then take calc based physics. Physics would have made so much more sense with what I am learning right now🙁 I would have KILLED the PS section with what I have learned in the last 4 weeks.

dont worry about it too much youll do fine regardless. I dont know your gpa or mcat but id assume they are pretty decent. Youll really be surprised how this whole process isnt near as difficult as people like to make it out to be🙂. Especially when you will likely have like 7 acceptances😉

Hahah...7 acceptances, huh? I'm holding you to that one dude😉 Would be pretty nuts especially since that is about a 33% acceptance-to-application rate😉

I totally lucked out an had only one physics passage - that I remember anyway. someone had to have been watching over me because that is my weakest area. Whomever you are, thank you thank you thank you!

I anticipate a 100% acceptance rate everywhere I interview. I'll turn on the charm and flash them my dimples and they will have to take me.
 
Awww Thanks! You know, I have no feeling as to how I did. I had a lot going on this weekend so I think that helped to keep my mind off of worrying during the exam. I am hoping I did well, but won't be surprised if I need to retake either. It didn't feel awful, but not good either... lol

Awww, I always wanted dimples. Though I think it would make it worse; my friend keeps vetoing my pictures because I look too young in them and I finally yelled at him "I AM YOUNG DAMMIT! AND I HAVE CHUBBY CHEEKS!" Dimples would likely only make it worse.

Haha yeah I think confidence and avoiding saying something stupid are the two most important things when interviewing.

hey guys, i have a questions regarding the application process if anyone could help out. i've submitted my application and i'm just waiting on one more official transcript to be received. Once the final transcript is received, then amcas verifies the transcripts and application work right? from what i understand, that verification process is expected to take between 4-6 weeks depending on traffic/volume. the login site says that amcas will begin transmission of applications on june 25th, so is that kind of like the first round of transmissions? essentially, what's the timeline and process between receiving all the transcripts, verifying application info, and transmitting them to the medical schools? i appreciate the help!

You can check the amcas verification thread to get an idea how long amcas is taking to verify applications.

You are correct that they will not verify you app until all of your transcripts are recieved. The first set of apps will be made available June 25. Then I believe apps are sent to medical schools on a weekly basis.

From what I understand (people can correct me if I'm wrong) the applications are "transmitted" in the sense that after June 25th, they are available for schools to look up online. All schools will look at them on different days. Some look at apps every day, some only on Mondays. Some on Mondays every other week; whatever.

So, once you are verified, the school will see it whenever they next look at a batch of applications.

That means that, as time goes on, and they have more and more qualified applicants each batch, they may or may not invite as many secondaries per batch.

So...I don't know if you can really give a "timeline" per se. Just assume that once you are verified, schools can see your app.

When they get the transcripts, they scan them in. Then you are placed in the queue for review. Then you get reviewed. This takes, as you said, 4 weeks-ish depending on when you submitted.

You're fine. While there is clearly a difference between submitting now and submitting in September, it is unclear on a week to week basis if it makes a difference.

Plus, there is NOTHING you can do about it now. Save the stress for secondaries🙂

Honestly it probably makes no difference... And you won't make the first batch anyway.

According to amcas when I spoke to them on the phone they make apps available on a weekly basis.
 
Yeah I didn't think I was going to make the first batch, unfortunately. Foolish mistake on my part- I actually thought I was ahead of the ball by getting my transcript requests taken care of at the end of May, turns out that that's supposed to be taken care of in the beginning of May to REALLY be on top of the ball haha. Thanks for the input. and btw, TSOM is a great movie!...mary poppins, not so much (borat voice)
