You can tell I was raised by a mother who grew up poor. Because despite the food poisoning, all I can think is "I have to go back to Pei Wei 4 more times because I still need to eat 3 more meals there before I get my '10th one free'"

How about 100 hours of a research experiment entitled "How Random Girls on the Internet Respond to Pictures of My Ass, Teeth, and Feet"? I think that would be VERY unique. Definitely get brownie points with the adcoms.

My family is actually not Cantonese--parents are from a region closer to Shanghai. But my mom is teaching me to make some of her DELICIOUS food this summer. 😀 I <3 cooking.

I figured chippendales was a pretty unique EC. (JK.. I wish I was in that sort of shape but not that gay)


Ah cool. I have a friend who went to shanghai this past summer. It actually sounds like their food in general isn't that great--he said it was mounds of empty mass. Lots of food, not many calories, not much nutrition. But I have a feeling true chinese culinary arts is much better (has been the few times I've had it).

Depends on what he had. Chinese cuisine, IMO, is one of the most diverse/richest cuisines out there. Though perhaps I'm a bit biased...🙄

Watching the True Blood right now. May or may not have read all of the Twilight books (even though the writing is awful. P.S. Team Jacob). Aaaaand watched Vampire Diaries. It's a weird craze. Kind of embarrassed I partake in that sort of thing. I wonder what's next....?

Nah, you're pretty great. Just see what they say. They do occasionally make exceptions. And an anatomy requirement is a little out of hand.

Haha I read Twilight....but stopped halfway through New Moon cuz I just couldn't stand the writing. I watch the movies though--ALSO TEAM JACOB!!!!! He is daaaaaaaaamn fine! And a fellow Michigander. 🙂

Never got into the other vampire stuff though. I feel like they're all just Twilight knock-offs.

Thanks! I'm a little "worried" that I could potentially end up spending lots of cash on an interview only to be owned by strict requirements.

Biochem I could reasonably take online, ANP just won't happen. OSU doesn't accept online credits.

My prediction is fey.

The writing in Twilight sucks. It reads like a fanfiction and Stephanie Meyer was so hellbent on giving her Mary Sue/author insertion Bella the super-ultra-mega happy ending that she flew in the face of her own established mythology to do it. :wtf:

I like True Blood. I have not watched Vampire Diaries and I may have to start.

I miss Moonlight. That show was AWESOME, but the writing strike killed it; it was supposedly going to be renewed for a second season but once the strike lifted their ratings took a hit. If it had come out a year later, when the Twilight craze really started, it probably would have stuck around.

Ew. Do not say that. Two of the big other vampire things right now, True Blood and Vampire Diaries, are based on book series that have been around at least as long as the Twilight series and the only reason they've got shows now is that Twilight has started this new vampire fad... which royally pisses me off because Twilight sparklepires are lame as hell and can barely even be considered as such, if you ask me.

It's kinda like how everyone is like "OMG, Grease is the best musical EVEEEEEEEEER!" because it is so well known, when, in reality, it's mediocre at BEST and there's a ton of better stuff out that there most people have no clue about.

That said, I AM going to see Eclipse with my sister in a few hours. I've read the series and that's the best book, hands down. There will actually be a fight at the end, too (unlike some OTHER books in the series...) so it should be entertaining.

Plus, the new Deathly Hallows trailer is in front of it and I can't WAIT to see that on the big screen. :clap:
