Like GlassHalfMD says, I am getting into Jefferson with a nice scholarship in October! We're buying a house in January. June my best friend will FINALLY be home from the army, though it should have happened about 5 times already. Hmmm... I just thought of another interpretation of that one but I'll keep quiet about that. 👍

Thanks, Daisy. I got some really bad news yesterday (not school related) that is making it REALLY hard to enjoy my birthday. This helps.

I am getting nervous about my interview next week. It's my first (and so far only) one so I don't want to blow it! Today I'm meeting with my advisor for some hints and tips and maybe some mock questions. My scrubs will have to be a mock suit! :laugh:

Well, just received my first scarlet letter from Boston. Guess I'm a vet like you all now and no longer green.
 
Just remember, you are not being "rejected." It's just the school realizing that you are too good for them, so they are letting you move on to bigger and better schools.

Ha. I'll try to keep that in mind. Though stats wise I'm a long-shot everywhere (maybe my mcat is a saving grace). BU is definitely missing my looks and charm though.

I've had some really bad interactions with a school lately that have left a bad taste in my mouth. That's about the most exciting thing in my inbox for weeks.

I need some October 15th in my life.

I've been getting about 10 emails a day from the university/SOM where I work so each time I hope it's good news. But alas, it's always seminar announcements.

its a ton of hurry up and wait...but i mean you...check, re-check, nothing changes. life goes on, forget about med school for a while, and then another moment of sheer ecstasy or misery.
 
i had a pretty random dinner. there was taco meat when i got home so i mixed that with leftover coucous, then i ate some chef boyardee haha.
 
To add to the week o' fail, my long-haired Pomeranian mix dog somehow got a roll of flypaper wrapped completely around him. I put oil all over him like you would do for tar then bathed him but now he's just sticky and greasy.

Oh no! It's not been a good day for the fur friends. My best friend's cat and dog are both stuck at the vet for diagnosis. 🙁

I'm sorry about your rejections whimsy, cliff, and shanks. 🙁 I know how that feels, but I'm sure we will all end up somewhere better!!!

I've gotten no love, just a little hate from our beloved California schools. I'm still waiting on a secondary from one UC... it's kind of driving me nuts.

i'll be attempting to party it up at that school this weekend. the city sucks anways, but i'll drop a message to the school for u
 
So I got all my work done early today so that I could go to this thing and then as I'm finishing my last assignment, I get an email "the even was canceled because tonight is the premiere of glee" (and I guess all the girls--85% of attendees--will be watching it) wtf.

I'm getting really bummed at how far behind I am in my classes--interviews have made me miss a lot of stuff either directly or indirectly (being tired and falling asleep in class). Pretty sure my professors hate me for all the sleeping...
 
Thanks for the birthday wishes, folks! I had to work today, but the hubster treated me to a really nice dinner and an evening of no chores. *Love*

(not that I didn't know DO stuff before.. my PCP is a DO.. but everyone always recommends it here and I've been meaning to read it for a year now so bit the bullet)
