i cant remember it snowing where i live, but you can get to snow with a short drive AND get to the beach with an even shorter drive...where else can you do that?!?

But FTR, we have most of that, too, only no Seaworld or Disneyland but plenty of other amusement parks around (Six Flags Great Adventure, Hershey Park, the piers in Wildwood and other beachtowns, Dorney Park, Knoebels which is farther away but quaint/cute), and places for the younger crowd, too.)

I watched The Fountain today... my brain can't decide how it wants to interpret it. I need Darren Aronofsky to explain what he wanted me to think so I know which one is right!

I interviewed yesterday with one on my nose LOL. I caught it the night before so it mostly looked like a freckle by the time of my interview, but still..!

That's my favorite movie and I've watched it several times. I always want to talk about it with ppl, so hit me up 👍
 
I think I just screwed myself. Got an interview at a school....couldn't do the date. Requested a reschedule....couldn't do that one either. Requested another rescheduled that one too....also couldn't do that one (they kept offerig earlier and earlier dates). Finally I just called them....the said they can put me in December 18th🙁


Crap.


Also, sitting at the bar of a restaurant waiting for food when you're starving SUCKS.

im glad to see that people in this thread have lives and aren't stuck to SDN haha. except now, im bored :/ . i had to come home early tonight. booo
 
made chocolate chip pumpkin bread last night...one of my favorite things about fall is everything you can bake with pumpkins!!

ducky, i'd love it if you could send any good pumpkin recipes you have my way.

Added some garlic extra virgin olive oil and salt to the mixin' pot... let it sit at a simmer for 20 minutes. Slightly undercooked (probably shoulda gone for 25 minutes or added a bit more water), but much better than overcooked mushy rice. The beef was OK, but I think I could make better from scratch.

Like nunchuck skills, Napoleon? =P

my third interview is tomorrow, and I'm already sick of traveling. I caught a 6 am flight and I want to sleep. Too bad I have to study after I check into the hotel. Oct. 15 can't get here fast enough!
 
i'm ready to get my interviews started. 9 days til the first one.
 
I finally interviewed at a school that I really, really liked and I think I did really well on the interview (finally! I got to be 100% myself and I loved it). Here's hoping I get in. :xf: (Not that the other schools were bad... just not as home-y feeling...).

F-ing Jet Blue.....ANOTHER one of my flights was cancelled and switched to a completely unacceptable flight.

I am so done with them. If they didn't have that damn TV at my seat....
