People not liking breakfast and/or pumpkin things makes me sad! I want a pumpkin spice latte... and one day I shall make a pumpkin Death Star.

OMFG... I just remembered the pumpkin pancakes IHOP had last year. Dude, I think it's getting to be about time to hit that place up for breakfast again.

I am about to run to Target and the beauty store for some fresh make-up and other stuff for my interview... and baby wipes, because I lead a glamourous life. I also want to get Chicklet a Disney movie from my childhood. I wanted to get Beauty and the Beast or maybe the Little Mermaid, but I don't think I'm going to find them because Beauty and the Beast has a special edition due out soon. I might get her Mulan. I was almost in high school when that one came out, but Mulan is the badass Disney princess. I shall allow the peanut to watch.

You assume I don't already have it 🙂. It's my favorite Disney movie, hands down. We also have Aladdin, which is the hubster's fave. That said, she doesn't get upset during Mufasa's death (though I may cry... *cough*). She doesn't grasp it yet.

Speaking of Disney, we have watched The Princess and the Frog about 205858739 times in the last week or two since it's currently available to watch instantly on Netflix. Dr. Facilier getting his comeuppance freaks me right the hell out. I know I posted about it on FB but I don't think I said anything about it here. It's like Disney meets Drag Me to Hell (with a side of Carl's end in Ghost). *Shudder*

Actually.....I don't really like pancakes. I'm not a sweets-for-breakfast person. And pancakes are so mushy. I sort of like waffles but I maybe eat them once every 2 years.

Me too! Everyone always looks at me crazy but breakfast kind of turns my stomach. But I love breakfast food at non-breakfast times.

Another Monday means another week of really hoping to hear from schools! I feel like nothing big is going to happen for me this week though. 🙁

I haven't seen The Princess and the Frog yet (I know, :lame:); however, my friend brought it over today, so I will probably watch it this weekend.

What is with this overwhelming distaste of breakfast/breakfast food?!?! Have I entered the Twilight Zone? 😱 Actually, breakfast food tastes awesome even when it isn't breakfast time, so I'll cut whimsical some slack. 😉

It's the opposite for me. I am around 5'9"/5'10" and all my friends are wayyy shorter than me, like 5'3"/5'4". Luckily, everyone in my family is my height or taller, so I don't feel look out of place all the time. 😀

How about banana chocolate chip? If anyone is ever in the Dayton, Ohio area (I know, why?) you need to hit up the Brunch Club. Most delicious breakfast ever. And bring me with you.

I'm ready for Monday to be over. But I'm excited for House tonight - the previews have made it look pretty intense!

Yeah, in my personal opinion, though Lion King is probably a great and fun movie for all ages, it has plenty of more telling lessons that aren't grasped until a later age but are important ones to learn.

Apparently as a youngin' I liked Snow White and the seven dwarfs, mainly because I would walk across the back of the couch reenacting that scene when they're walking on that log or mountain or something. I'm sure this greatly upset my mother, walking on furniture of course, but I think I mainly did this when my Sicilian grandmother was watching me.

I'm up in the air about Disney movies... I used to love Sleeping Beauty but that's not exactly a great message to send to young girls. Maleficent was bad*** though!

You are all making me want breakfast for dinner. Bring on the pumpkin pancakes! But after the interview... must fit into skirt on Wednesday.

my favorite dinners when I was little were when my mom didn't feel like making a big dinner so she'd make waffles or french toast. Especially because we wouldn't have to eat vegetables that night either.
 
Does anyone else love the idea of Longshanks pretending to be Snow White?


I'm sooooooooo hungry. I have like 20 more mins of "tutoring" (all my students came early and are now gone but I still need to wait around just in case) and then I go work the crappy position at the hospital. It is bad when you're dreading a 3 hour a week volunteer position 🙁

Unless you count the fact that I work at one of the med schools I'm applying to and I get like 10 emails a day from them about various goings-on... it's heart-breaking every time because I see "[insert proper letter here]SOM" in the subject line and I'm like :soexcited:and then I see the words "seminar series" following that and I'm like 😡.

ive already been rejected from them and i still get those messages. i want to call them and tell them how unprofessional that is. seriously annoying/stupid.

would i really go to a seminar at a school that just rejected me? 🙄

If anyone is looking for a fun, easy book to read while waiting to hear from schools, I highly recommend "Just here trying to save a few lives". It's this ER doc's best stories. No lame plot, just lots of blood and cracking chests and yelling at drug addicts. 👍
 
I had an awesome interview experience today 🙂

and while I was there I got an invite to another school.

Today was a good day in the chase for a med school seat.

Tiger- strength, fierce, graceful.

Blue- Confident, collected, under control.

Body of water is tricky I like different ones for different reasons (ocean, lake, pool)... I'll go with Ocean- fun, calming, mysterious.

called outtttt...ok. But my answers kind of suck/don't obey the no physical appearance rule too well.

favorite animal - sheep - cute, fluffy, um....social?

favorite color - yellow, which I actually don't wear that much, but I guess I'd say bright, summery, energetic

favorite body of water - pacific ocean - vast, deep, open

The animal represents how other people see you. The color allowed you to describe the way you see yourself in a new light, such that you didn't realize it was just a self description 🙂.

Last... the water. It's a little inappropriate, but it represents how you view sex.

I'm glad our SDN people are so fun!
