i'd like to be that baby, just for the courtside seats. you guys can have the clothes.
Yeah, he's an incredibly spoiled baby. I'm pretty sure he has more clothing than I do, he sits courtside at Lakers games almost every week, and his favorite toy is any BlackBerry within reach.
Did, indeed, go skiing today. It was pretty sweet. I'm pumped for the season now, too bad I can't enjoy the rockies all season. Tahoe is nice too tho. Was supposed to do lots of hw over the past few days but didn't... been hanging with my family.If/when I ever have kids, they're going to be like, "WTF Mom, our cousin gets everything cool under the sun, and all of our clothes are from Goodwill."
Did anyone do anything fun over the weekend?

Yeah, it is. The ChemE curriculum does not let up and I'm not nearly as interested in it now that I know I'm going to be doing the med school thing. It must be hard to stay motivated to do college work when you have a gazillion acceptances to med schools, Flow.
so you think you're cool or something?I went to Chicago.
And then I studied today. Quiz on Tuesday. Haven't looked at the stuff at all. Haven't even gone to the class. 🙁

lame. confidence in your procrastination is the right answer.😎
Either that or stupid for procrastinating. 🙁 I'll go with the latter.

Due to Glee.....and, I suppose, Katy Perry....the following lyric is in a permanent loop in my brain as sung by Darren Criss
"Let you put your hands on me
In my skintight jeans
I'll be your teenage dream tonight"
make it stop
With fronds like these, who needs anemones?

I could not believe the weather...70s and sunny in mid November? Back to the reality of rain and 40s for the next 6 months here![]()
I don't wanna go to work todayyyy 🙁 I just want it to be Christmastime already.
finally back from the Cal game (got a little scary there for a bit). I was very surprised by how friendly all the Cal fans were. Greek row was like half Oregon fans, half Cal fans, and everyone was so friendly! Can't say our fans treat visitors the same way, but it was nice!

uh oh.. that's where i am at as well.. where did you hear this? So, supposedly Penn updates all the "complete" applicants around November 15th, with either a deferred status (which will likely be a rejection) or no change, which I guess means they just haven't finished screening you yet, and bodes kinda well, I guess. It's basically the difference between maybe and probably not.
For now, I'm still at complete, but that may change by the end of the day. Hoping it doesn't...
On the SSD thread, confirmed by the 2009-2010 thread. I posted a link to where it started coming up last year.
Yeah, I remember that happening. Chances are that if you get the deferred status you won't get an interview. I think there may have been one person last year that had a status change back to the complete status and then got an interview.
Hoping for no news. 🙂
I just read like 3 or 4 of the pages from that thread. Did you like all the snow we had last year when you interviewed? 🙂
Ugh. I got trapped there. 🙁 It was cold.
Awww, sorry!
We had a RIDONKULOUS amount of snow last winter. It was our snowiest winter on record (I think 72" total) with 3 or 4 snowstorms with over 18" of accumulation a pop. The first one hit on what was SUPPOSED to be Chicklet's first birthday party, December 19th. We knew it was supposed to snow but her birthday theme was "Winter One-derland" so I was like, "Oh, it'll be so cute that we'll actually have snow!" because the original forecast was only for like 3-4 inches.
Yeah...
I was at work on Friday, the day before the party, and the forecast just kept getting worse and worse. Every hour it was like, "3 to 4 inches,"... "5 to 7 inches,"... "8 to 10 inches,"... "12 to 16 inches," ... "18 inches or more." 😱 My phone was dead so I ran down the hall to the IT department to borrow a charger, and spent a good hour after lunch calling everyone going, "Sunday! Come on SUNDAY!" As you know, we had two feet of the white stuff. Only about half the people that RSVPed actually made it.
Then we had THREE more huge snowstorms in February. 28.5 inches, then about 18" less than a week later, and another foot like 2 weeks after that. Insanity.
It's beautiful, and awesome so long as you don't have to go ANYWHERE. IMO, the worst part is digging your car out/getting out of your parking spot afterwards. There was seriously a car across the lot from our apartment that you couldn't even see. It was completely buried. Poor schmuck.

I'm going to be all sappy and say that I LOVE taking walks with the husband at nighttime when it's snowing. It's just magical (the snow at night thing), and I think the grey sky makes his blue eyes look awesome.
<---- Dork.

Oy, I am NEVER posting in a thread that has anything to do with religion again. I mentioned that Dawkins said something about what an OP said but didn't give a satisfactory argument, and the thread turned into a Dawkins lovers vs. haters brawl when I checked up on it a few days later.
Edit: Jax, I do think you're the reigning king of WLs. I hope you get some real love from a school soon!
Yeah, posting in other threads later has been a downer. I tend to stick to here and school specific threads.
But yeah, I was in the "Team Dawkins Haters" after your post![]()
Yeah... arguing about the existence of a god is about as effective as fighting over what's the best color in the rainbow.
As soon as any thread in this forum turns into the atheists vs. those that believe in a higher power I run for the God damned hills.

You're wrong, it's yellow. You're ignorant for thinking it's red. 😛For real.
Well, for sake of argument I'm going with red!
