Oh man Yoda...I knew there was something fishy about you. You're one of those runners.
I don't know if we can be friends anymore.

Hahaha. Duckie is one of those. But since she also makes cupcakes, I love her anyway😉At least I'm not one of those super long distance runners, they're the real weird ones... I draw the line at like 3.5 miles😀.
geeks,
as a christmas present to the thread can you teach geeklet out to dougie?
and film it.

Also...Dexter RULES. I plan to have an amazing Dexter Marathon on Tuesday afternoon/evening. So excited.
I am going to Disneyland today for the Candlelight Ceremony and I am going to wear my Chrismukah Yarmukle
are the redskins really this bad?
Totally awesome! I liked it a lot.they sure do a good job of making everyone think they are
how was it cougs!?!?!
Kaushik -- Unless you are set on UIC or I am missing something, I would consider going to the interview in Albany if you are only considering UIC for cheaper tuition. Albany looks like it is $42000 per year. UIC is $32000 (+ about one thousand in fees) BUT there is two summers you will be paying an additional $10000+ for clinical rotations over the summer... so really, you would only be paying an additional $20,000 at Albany than UIC.. and Albany potentially might be a better fit for you.
I've basically been using this argument with my parents about why UIC isn't my first choice -- even if at first glance it looks cheaper.

Yea, I didn't apply to Albany nor do I really no anything about it... I was just trying to say that you shouldn't consider UIC only because it's "cheaper in-state tuition". There is plenty of good reasons to consider UIC though.I'd rather go to UIC than Albany...
(and I'm from NY...)

I didn't mean to imply that my sole reason of interest in UIC is because of its tuition. There are lots of reasons why UIC is one of my top choices, only one of which includes the tuition.Yea, I didn't apply to Albany nor do I really no anything about it... I just don't think college football is all that great in general this year. The whole Cam Newton hypocrisy thing pisses me off too.The pac 10 is crazy this year. It might end up that only 3 schools go to bowl games, which is sad. There's so much talent but since they all play each other some of the records aren't too pretty. And I love college basketball but my team won't be...so good this year. (I think this is where I say it's a building year).
I don't think a "tangible" present is necessarily preferable to a gift of an experience. How did your gf like the spa treatment gift?Hope all is well everyone! It's the ol' gfs birthday today. Having lunch with her strict asian parents 😱 then surprising her with her present. Question, ladies. Would you prefer a "tangible" present that you have to open, or something like an hour long massage + a facial? I already bought her the massage, I just want to see how badly I screwed up.
In other news, is anyone still excited by this application process? I'm about sick of it. So tired of waiting, of mercilessly checking my email every day. Just wish it could all be over and time to start med school!!!

I'm way sick of the application cycle. I still don't think I'll be hearing anything from any schools until January, so I'm just kind of over it. I'm eager to start my classes so I have something to consume my time.
all i heard was wahhh wahhh wahhh usc sucks wahh wahh wahhhI just don't think college football is all that great in general this year. The whole Cam Newton hypocrisy thing pisses me off too.

I was going to say something like "I love premeds....I keep getting older, and they stay the same age" but it sounded creepy even to me.I noticed that. Maybe we're all too old to satisfy her cougar-ish needs. 🙁

Besides....I would totally take advantage of any one of you here and you know it!
Why do you participate elsewhere on SDN if not for very similar reasons to why people do in this thread in particular?Man now I remember why I don't participate in this thread...

So you're one of the people who posts on forums to make fun of people who post on forums. Do you understand the sad irony here?
you can be jovial, without being a douche.
