Haha I'm not one of those if you're talking ultra-marathoners. I can't imagine running for like 8 hours straight. The marathon is my limit. Thanks for the support though Cougs 🙂

I missed the game. Heard the first half on the radio though, and from the sound of it I was never worried.

Was on a hunt for brunch, but the really awesome and cute French cafe that I love for brunch closed down the location I usually go to and are consolidating to one of their locations on the west side (they should've never opened up three/four locations... but whatever.. great place). Driving in the city, hahah, not the best decision but it was a fun day, and since the Giants won on top of that, an even better day.

It seems whenever I miss a Giants-Redskins game, the Giants blow them out, and when I actually watch them the Giants didn't bother to show up. A la going to the prime time game in Dec 2007 that had 40-50mph winds the day after we got 6-8 inches of snow here in the city, and Kevin Gilbride had the INGENIOUS gameplan of having Eli throw the ball 45 times while having the top rushing attack in the league. How do you lose to Todd Collins? Ugh.

Yea, I didn't apply to Albany nor do I really no anything about it... I was just trying to say that you shouldn't consider UIC only because it's "cheaper in-state tuition". There is plenty of good reasons to consider UIC though.

Yeah, I applied really late (as told in this thread the other day lol and made fun of about) to them. I would like to stay in this area so I applied to pretty much each NY school. Its foolish that I applied so late since my numbers match up there better, but I've just heard mixed things about the place.

I agree with you though, that if you have the travel money, why not check out more interviews.

I didn't mean to imply that my sole reason of interest in UIC is because of its tuition. There are lots of reasons why UIC is one of my top choices, only one of which includes the tuition.

I don't think a "tangible" present is necessarily preferable to a gift of an experience. How did your gf like the spa treatment gift?

I'm way sick of the application cycle. I still don't think I'll be hearing anything from any schools until January, so I'm just kind of over it. I'm eager to start my classes so I have something to consume my time.

My gf thought it was the greatest present ever haha. She was a little nervous having someone else touch her but she ended up loving it. She didn't like the way the facial felt, but loves how it made the skin on her face feel/look the next day. Think I hit a home run!!!

I know how you feel about the app process. I'm over it too, and I'm also over people asking me how its going since no news is bad news at most of the schools at this point and I hate having to explain that I haven't heard anything in awhile. Fun stuff 🙁.... not!

can one write an appeal if a school decides not to interview you?

I felt like I got punched in the gut this morning when I saw my status for one school said "unable to interview." boooooo.

And I also got my first MD waitlist recently. But it was weird... while I enjoyed the school, the student body just didn't seem to "fit" with me. One of my interviewers even told me I looked good with my suit and that I interviewed well and that I should be great at future interviews... like this was my first mock interview or something... not my 10th and most likely final interview. weird.

I just received a rejection email from a school I withdrew from 2 months ago...

I even received a withdrawal confirmation a long time ago.

The sad thing is, even though it doesn't matter at all, it still hurt my feelings for a few minutes.
 
so jealous geeky, last scheduled interview this thursday but i still need to write pre-interview updates to a few (strongly regretting my ridiculously narrow school selection)
